Raalsalghul: Hello Raalsalghul, In terms of a career switch in a total different field, a PGD/PGC or a second degree is recommended. In this situation, work experience would count as a plus in both the admission and visa application process. But if there switch is within same field and have some related courses, a Masters can as well be considered. If after an admission is secured which shouldn't be a poblem especially applying to colleges, the onus to be able to convince the VO thereafter is on you. It is not impossible but could be painstaking. There are previous successful applicant who have been able to do this. This major thing is to be able to convince the VO on a given reason for the switch and prove that such move entails a career advancement or enhance your self-development. All the best. |

Adetayoade1: Hello Adetayoade1, To the best of my knowledge, embassies treats every submitted application as new whether been refused before or not. Even though they already have your records stored in their database or that of their data-sharing partners (countries), they want to test your honesty at this point. Perhaps, many fall victims here. In order of your questions: 1. Do well to declare it. Don't fail. 2. Please, give a detailed information with evidence 3. It is done to check if you have any criminal records, if inadmissible to enter Canada, overstayed visa, forceful removal from a country, violation of laws, violation of a visa regulation, declaration of forceful information, general background checks etc All the best. 1 Like |

Greetings! Thank you for your response @Justmellow. Much appreciated. Sorry, i have a few more questions; 1. Please i have read that applicants get the medicals done before submitting the online application.. where and how do i go about this ? 2. Can anyone please share a template of study leave approval from employer to show strong ties and additional evidence to return to home country? Thank you in advance. ( I have a reference letter from a social group that i am actively involved in and i also intend to attach a reference letter from my business partner); 3. For purpose of clarity what does LOE mean? is it the same as SOP? 4. Please kindly share all the required documents to enable a tight application; Many thanks for your response. Look forward to your kind feedback. Best, |

Hello house, I have this desire to travel to Canada since 5year ago but because of one thing or the other I'm still in Nigeria. I have made up my mind to start processing now. How do I go about it from the scratch I have Hnd in accounting also part qualified ICAN with 13years work experience Female, married with 3 kids Please what's the fastest route to migrate to Canada within a year. I will appreciate any recruitment or study agency here in Nigeria Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 10:45am On Jan 10, 2020 |
missnigeria: With your experience you should be looking at an advanced diploma program in accounting. As for your husband and kids you'll have to exclude them from your application so they can serve as your home ties. You can always apply for them to come and join you but that will cost you a lot of money in terms of proof of funds for a family of 4. If you had an msc degree I would have suggested express entry to begin with. I'll also advice that you look into provinces with decent living expenses and good immigration pathways like Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the likes. 2 Likes 1 Share |
