Lankesolanke: Huh ...so are you saying that if you apply for Canadians visa as a woman you are required to prove that you're not pregnant?...are you sure about that? A number of people I know that got the Canadian visiting visa were not pregnant when they initially applied. They became pregnant months after the Canadian visa was approved. You do know that the Canadian visa when approved is valid during the same duration of your international passport. |

I earlier mentioned that this new policy of getting letter from authorities was a diplomatic way to end/reduce birthing cuz it is imposdible to get such letter. I also said that those who cuz of recent development will apply for visit visa while preggy will be calles upon to ask questions nd/or request for preggy test done. Now we r going to know wat happens to those who are not preggy wen visa was geanted and now want to use it for birthing. Happy New Year everyone 1 Like |

This is false. A Canadian health authority isnt a health leader, but basically a geographical grouping of health providers. Someone can request a letter from any medical facility in any health authority, or medical provider ie doctor that is part of said health authority. There are numerous across Canada, and these letters are not difficult to get for Canadians. International patients DO NOT displace locals in hospitals but DO reduce quality of care for local patients due to increased demand. On another note, even if birth visas are still being handed out, everyone should be aware that many clinics and hospitals are being mindful of backlash and no longer serving foreign patients. I will share my POE experience sometime this week. Please guys note that my letter for regional health authority was from the authority itself (A cousin's friend works for the health authority in the province i wanted to go to) in the letter they listed the hospital that i intended to deliver. I attached the invoice for the hospital separate and also attached the letter from the health authority) The letter from the health authority just talks about the fact that i have consulted with a provider in the network specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and i will be settling the bill directly with them. There was no deposit or payment made. They also mentioned the size of facility i planned to give birth and the average number of babies born there per week. I now suspect the reason this was mentioned was to show the embassy that i would not be inconveniencing a resident who plans to birth there. Also note the letter stated that neither myself nor the new born will be using any provincial health insurance. Apparently this kind of letters are very difficult to obtain as you would need someone(resident or citizen) to do an affidavit and take it to the health authority. 7 Likes 4 Shares |

Hello, Please is there anyone that applied in August and yet to get response. I really don’t understand why the embassy is taking so much time. I just want to know if I am alone in this ship |

Hello everyone, I applied Nov I didn’t get a letter from them to provide a competent health authority until my refusal. Does anyone have an idea how I can infuse that in my next application. I am thinking of reapplying Thank you |

Where was your application processed?? Oluwatise2016: |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Nobody: 5:31pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
Hotstepper: I am going to the same province that gave me the letter but that was not my initial plan. As soon as I told a family friend about the request from the embassy she told me that the province I wanted to come to will probably not answer me because the RHA is very big and won’t have my time. My cousin then connected me with the person in the other province. I don’t think you can change provincial health authority after getting the visa because maybe when you want to renew they will ask for receipts and if it’s from somewhere else it may be an issue. I applied for a normal visit visa but in my letter of explanation I wrote that I was hoping to deliver in Canada. |

Semisolasola: My processing center was London office and I received the passport request after 57 days. Please note that I work with the UN in Nigeria so I don’t really know if that helped the application. 2 Likes |

You can as well share your cousin’s friend’s contact details so people can get this letters through her, if she wants to get paid for it, I want to believe people wouldn’t mind paying her for it. Calypso1234: We don't ever learn, and that's bad. We are not even seeing what we already have on our plate per this Canada birthing journey, we are rather looking at how to destroy what's left of it at all. My joy is that many of us here are also aware and maybe coming from the US axis and understand the implication of crowding a source. Let's research please, this approach won't take us nowhere. This person has just somewhat pointed all to a direction to look at when making birthing plans, IT MUST NOT BE IN EXACT SAME DIRECTION! We can do something for ourselves please, and by extension even have us improved. MAKE UNA NO CAST CANADA UNNECESSARILY, THINGS DON ALREADY BAD, NO NEED TO COMPLICATE ISSUES EVEN MORE WITH IRRATIONALITY! 9 Likes |

Did your cousin friend attach his/her passport or PR information in anyway while doing the affidavit? Demicoker: |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Beautyaddy: 12:39am On Jan 11, 2020 |
Calypso1234: People should not be discouraged though. As long as giving birth on Canadian soil still gives the child automatic Canadian citizenship there will be ways people will be going to Canada to give birth. First obtaining a visiting visa then use it for visiting and then hopefully later when one gets pregnant you may be able to use it for child birth. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Nobody: 1:13am On Jan 11, 2020 |
Calypso1234: I believe that someone here once mentioned that RHA is not hospital but head of a network so I assumed I would be sharing information already existing. No my cousin did not attach anything to my application but maybe he provided that when they went to the authority to get the letter. Also I saw that everyone was posting that they have attach their proof of payment and hospital letter and since I had not heard back from embassy I was not in the position to share anything since I myself was waiting. I only got my passport request on December 2. I am sorry but I don’t think it is a good idea to share his contact. And I 100 percent know that even if people want to pay for this service he will not be interested. He’s a surgeon and he’s very busy. I can tell the name of the hospital I’m using and maybe if you guys contact them they will direct you accordingly. Also who am I even to say that I got the visa because of the letter? These embassies place UN in high regard and I honestly would have been surprised if I was denied since I could have even gone with my diplomatic passport that I attached to the application anyway. Also note that I have colleague friend who applied in November and got passport request this week without being asked for RHA letter. And she wrote the exact same letter of explanation as myself. 2 Likes |

OmoBendel24: Actually, because of this I will share the name of the network and not the hospital. You all should fish for a doc and hospital within this network to work with them figure out how to get the RHA to provide you with a letter. You can also do same for other provinces and don’t have to use the same province since you already know the process. Please note that I’m not saying that this is the solution to getting the visa. Anyone that needs this can PM me. Thanks 1 Like |
