I do that also.........even for meetings.......... and i can manipulate conversation such that attention wont be on myself... u can only know the part of me that i want u to know.....
i think the reason is because we don't like things that we can't analyze or predict.............

Same with me but people around me don’t understand, they usually think I’m proud and acting all high and mighty whereas I’m just trying to be alone.

I have no other social media presence except here, lots of sleep pretence, two is a crowd for me, when I'm in a gathering of more than two(me and someone else) and everyone is focused on me when I talk or about to talk, I panic and start to stutter, or I pretend to have forgotten what I was about to say, when I'm less busy for hours for a whole day, I lock myself in my room and make no sound throughout, one time, everyone thought I was dead, a friend once asked if I am a ghost cos I behave like one, lol.
