Not a single American was on aboard the plain.
News have it that he Canadians killed were Iranians with Canadian passports. Double loss.

You are somehow right in your post. I also not in full support of most of the US activities in some countries but I will like to advise middle East countries to stop sponsoring terrorism. Also, I think most of these countries are inviting them by collecting their aids. They send aids to over 200 countries in the world and those countries don't want them to interfere in the affairs? That's not possible my Brother. "Chop my money, chop my food and u no wan me have any say in ur life". They should start by rejecting their aids first.

Not so easy. The US shot down an Iranian passenger plane in 1988 and denied it for months. 274 were killed. This recent tension was started by Trump and this is one of the unintended consequences of war. Trump stepped down because he knew Iran had goofed and had something to gloat a boat. Back to identifying aircrafts. Even till now, technology is not matured enough to identify aircrafts with accuracy. This was a combination of issues heightened by the tension and time of day.

Not defending Iran and I feel sad this has happened. Considering, they didn't want to hurt anyone in the base, I don't think they wanted casualties. They probably thought it was another drone. I mean this is a tense period.

We all know that Nigeria is an irresponsible country.

This act of shooting down an airplane in an attempt to defend an airspace or stave off preemptive airstrikes needs to be met with punitive conditions as they only compensate the families of the victims and no one is brought to book. They have thrown the families of victims into an abyss of sorrow and sadness. And most times, they claimed the airplane never responded to their signals and as a result they deem it fit to be downed, its so nettlesome.
