If you're still a beginner it's best to outsource the book formatting to professionals on fiverr.

If you insist on doing it yourself, the blueprint gives you some guideline on how to format your book to maximize royalty earnings

You can either play the volume game where you pump out as much content as possible without paying particular attention to how good they are. Wow, I have no idea cause I also use canva and whenever I encounter this issue I use the size provided by Amazon and it works. Did you try eliok method?

Oga use the size on your msword.

If you enlarge the size in canvas, when you finish please reduce back to msword size.

You are complaining and you are reducing and increasing.


Please take note.

If you must increase size do it. The only thing is give amazon what your msword layout size is .

If its 8x11
Fine.

If its 17 by whatever your choice.

Use what msword and kdp PDF give you.

Sure you can and I can help you handle that.

Gedifok is your book that big that you are using 8.5 by 11?

If your book pages is not up to 100 and you are using 8.5 by 11, it will reduce your number of pages. Why not use something like 8 by 10" or 6 by 9" and font size 13? It will help boost your page number. And pls, do not increase your font size too big for your paperback version. 16 font size will be too big for a paperback book. That will easily attract a negative review on your book. Buyers will complain that the font size is too big; that you are cheating them with your big font size. People normally use big font size when they don't have much contents in their books.

Use something moderate. I have gotten a negative review on that when I used font size 14, Georgia and ended up using a small trim size of 5 x 8". The book went up to 250 pages. This made the reviewer dropped a negative review about the font size being too big and the trim size being too small for the book.

Since then I started using font size 12 with 1.5 spacing.

In essence, always watch the font size you use depending on the number of word counts of your book. If my word count is 10k word, I will definitely use 5.5 x 8.5" trim size with font size 12 and 1.5 spacing. But if I have anything higher than 14k upward, I will rather use 6 x 9" trim size with font size 12 and 1.5 spacing.

2.0 spacing will be too spacious for such a book. You wouldn't want to risk a negative review regarding that cuz buyers will think you are cheating them with such huge spacing.

I only use 8.5 x 11" trim size if my word counts is above 20k words.


So always keep things moderate depending on the word counts of your book.
