A bus station is a off-road location with at least basic facilities for passengers, it can also be said to as a structure where city or intercity buses stop to pick up and drop off passengers.

A bus station is larger than a bus stop, which is usually simply a place on the roadside, where buses can stop. It may be intended as a terminal station for a number of routes, or as a transfer station where the routes continue.

Bus stations as important element
Bus station is a significant element in the operation of bus services. Their design and location affect the efficiency of a transport system, and its impact on other road users. Some stations are regarded more as landmarks than as utilities, and as such are often of prestigious rather than practical design, which may detract seriously from their efficiency.
Local bus services in many towns and cities are centered on bus stations. Often there are large stations in the central area, with smaller ones at the outer ends of the routes.

Passengers in Nigeria are beginning to enjoy this, as some state governors have embarked on construction of some state-of-the-art facilities as bus station & termina in differ cities. An obvious example is the recently commissioned Oshodi transport interchange and the Ikeja bus terminal constructed by the immediate past executive govornor of Lagos State (Mr Ambode).

*Bringing the discussion to Edo state.*
The situation here in the acient city of Benin is pathetic. What is called the CENTRAL MOTOR PARK in Benin City the state capital which is the equivalent of 'bus station' in other cities, is an eyesore even with the amount of money collected from the bus drivers/owners as taxes on daily basis by the government
We call on the executive governor of Edo state to use this dry season window to expedite work on the Benin central motor park so that passengers can commute with smiles on their faces and bus drivers will appreciate paying their taxes.

But Edo people are always quick to remind us that 'Edo is not Lagos'. Even going as far as abusing Ambode whom built some (if not all) of the terminals in the pictures on this thread. So make una leave Lagos out of una matter.

That boy is not from Edo state.

His claim shouldn't deceive you.

He is a pure Yoruba boy.

Moreover I see no reason for you to be mentioning someone name. Even if he is from Edo state, which he is not

He is not the only one from there.

How old are you?

The Benin motor park is a modern embarrassment while Lagos is a country state in Nigeria, you can't compare Lagos with any other state in Nigeria
