How Gov Abiodun Appointed Dismissed Lecturer As Education Commissioner by Islie: 7:17am On Jan 12, 2020
Abeokuta – Facts have emerged on how Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State appointed as the Ogun State Education Commissioner-designate, Professor Sidi Osho, who was dismissed from the state-owned university, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

According to a dismissal letter, a copy of which was obtained by INDEPENDENT, Professor Osho was dismissed in 2016 by the Governing Council of the institution over alleged misconduct.

The letter dated 18th April 2016 with reference number OOU/ACA/P.1200/237 was addressed to the Professor who was the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Afe Babalola University and signed by the Secretary of Council, Mrs O. A. Osunsanya who doubled as the registrar of the School at that time.

Professor Osho was the Special Advisers to Governor Abiodun on Higher Education before she was elevated to the position of Commissioner.

She was also the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Afe Babalola University in Ekiti State.

Bad belle. The woman was the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the great Afe Babalola University and she performed creditably well for the period of 5yrs of her tenure. Her sacking at OOU was malicious. She is the best person for the position of commissioner of education in ogun state

If she was dismissed from service due to misconduct, I guess she has been already punished and should be allowed to live life freely.

If you understand the Nigerian educational sector, you will know that it is very hard to dismiss
an ordinary lecturer let alone a professor unless they were caught red-handed in a sacrilegious act.
That is why many randy and corrupt lecturers couldn't be expelled.

The professor should be sacked and replaced.
Armed robbers were once good people but we judge them by their latest acts, not their previous life.

put it on your CV when looking for a job that you have been dismissed before and see if you will get any response to all your application
