uboma:yes. Exactly what I mean. That time is now. You can do it. I know you have experience when it comes to BMW. However, have blissful experience with imported one. Most naija used are thoroughly abused. 1 Like |

chukel: You are tempting me. I do not all the funds for now to buy one and import it. I will get there soon though. Thank you for checking in. |

uboma:do your checks properly. You may not need as much as you think you need for the importation. Don't buy a naija used E46 2 Likes |

chukel: Lol. I am using my second E46 with a manual transmission. Looking for one with automatic transmission to add to my collection. I have used an E39 in the past (great car, I still miss her). I have also used an E36 in the past. Trust me, I know what to watch out for before committing my cash. But you are right, there is nothing like owning a well maintained foreign used BMW car. By the way, I went through your threads and found the following about the rogue clearing agent, https://www.nairaland.com/4486743/fraud-horrible-experience-saintjoel-jelad Why were the threads hidden? ****Modified**** I have read through the threads, why did you ask that they be hidden/deleted? The rogue clearing agent will continue to defraud unsuspecting clients (I see that other members accused him of fraud too on the thread). |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by chukel(m): 6:04pm On Jan 12, 2020 |
uboma:I can't remember asking mods to hide them. Unless it was part of the intervention by people. Can't even remember the thread. I have moved on. I have a very reliable agent now. Meanwhile I joined the BMW family last year. E60 is a beautiful piece. Happy with the car. No Xmas light whatsoever. Modified: just clicked on the thread. Never knew it was deleted. Never requested for that o. I never did. Now I believe nairaland encourages fraud 2 Likes |

uboma:ok. I think I was prevailed on to ask the mods to delete as he refunded up to 95% of the money. Can't even remember the details. But I think nairalnders intervened since he apologised and decided to pay. However he never completed that payment. I think what was left was 15k or so. So I let everything go. But, why can't I view the thread. |

Hello BMW family, please my car doesn't start at once, I've done nozzle servicing, change fuel pump and as well as the coil, it suddenly started doing like this since Last year, the 2 mechanics I've got couldn't resolve the problem. I contacted a rewire who worked on it, changed some few things and it worked for some days then it started again, I noticed my mechanic do pass fuel from the front (a small hose)and when he does that, the car will start |

Hi Fam, What is the required transmission oil for a 2008 328i? Scanned and got an error that the oil is deteriorated but car shifts and drives well. Mileage is just 100,242. What brand should I use? Is it recommended to change gear oil too? cc uboma radautoworks |

Please I need an urgent advice. I have an E46 auto transmission with a challenge with the gear box. When shifting from the lower gear it will come up with error light I then pull over to off the ignition and restart the car the error light disappear. At times there is a loud gerk when shifting between gear 2 and 3. There after the gear will work fine. Suggested solutions without result. 1. Gear oil and filter change 2. Airflow sensor and gear box brain box change. I'm thinking of converting to manual, how realiable will it be? Possible solutions is need. I'm in a state of confusion. thanks |

Opeolami: Please do not convert it to manual transmission A good rewire can fix it. Where is your location? What model is your E46? |

Hello bmw family, wanna drop my issues here for possible advice from u. I've a 1997 E39 (5 series) and I adore her with a passion. It had auto tranny issues and I converted it to manual tranny which even improved the vehicle's performance. The key fob was cracked & I bought blank key shell and contracted a locksmith to cut the blank key and transfer the chip to the new fob. Alas, that is how my nightmare started! Car has refused to start and I have ordered for several ews, key & ecu but car won't start! I love this whip and any solution to this issue will be very helpful, please. |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by Opeolami(m): 9:26pm On Feb 15, 2020 |
udomma1005: Aside the key fob, you don't have any issues converting to manual transmission? |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by udomma1005(m): 1:40am On Feb 16, 2020 |
Opeolami:Nope, conversion was successful & performance was smooth before key issues, not sending power to start, only cranking! 1 Like |

Please I need a good electrician that can help restore a relatively new BMW back to life. Car is 2006 5 series, bought less than a year ago. Open roof got clogged because it was parked under a tree for long, and water entered inside the car, and battery ran down. Some local electricians came and messed some of the wiring up. Car is in Ilorin, Kwara State, but I am ready to take care of expenses of a confirmed BMW electrician from Lagos to go to Ilorin and fix it. Uboma, erico2k2 and other BMW gurus on the thread, please come to my aid o!!!! 1 Like 1 Share |
