I read Legend reference on what was written by metaphysical.
There is no trade market in entire Lagos State with revenue generator above Ereko/Balogun/OkeArin/Idunmota. This zone is controlled by Yoruba traders.

Next to them is meat trade.
Lagos consumes N1.6bn worth of cattle daily’. The meat depot in Lagos is Oko Oba.

Which Ibo market is the highest net revenue maker in Lagos?

Can you see Fidelity bank below?
The largest shareholder according to the image below is Norges Bank Investment Management and that is a Norway company.

Can we conclude to say Norway owns Fidelity Bank and that it’s not an Igbo Bank just like your earlier assertions.

Can you calm down and reflect on what I told you to
read about on how these things work?

In law, the burden of proving a case by a preponderance of evidence lies with the plaintiff. On this thread, one of you kettykings came to boast about you controlling the activities of Lagos, and that if the Igbos pullout of lagos, the economy will collapse. He is the plaintiff right?

Now, the burden is on you guys to prove with statistics that you actually contribute the majority to the wealth of lagos by telling us how much your shops generates and contributes. So far, you are all relying on the figment of your imagination and the usual chestbeating without facts.

Now as the defendant, I already wrote some verifiable facts on how Lagos generate its revenue and that shows clearly that your claims are LIES. Hence, either you apologize for wasting people's time on this thread or keep shut from further rabble-rouser like you said up there.

Happy claiming!

1) BANKS that are PLCs have no tribes. Many people from different tribes and even foreigners have shared in these banks.

2) Every bank has Boards of Directors which doesn't necessarily mean they are the owners of these banks.

Some of these directors are actually employees of the companies that have substantial shares in the banks.

3) Work for your own money, invest in banks or any Company and stop this silly tribal claiming of banks.

It makes you look uneducated.
Anambralstson:

You claimed GTBank as a Yoruba bank when it was clearly showed that US firm control the highest shares on the table, while that of Zenith bank it was Jim Ovia that was listed as the leading shareholder, First Bank and Union bank almost share the same history if you claim First bank, Igbo will claim Union bank.

All hail the Developer of the World.

You developed Lagos, make up 60% of it's population and own 70% of it's economy!

You also developed P/Harcourt, Kano, Abuja and even Malaysia, Singapore, China and India.

The whole world hail you!

knowledgeable:

No, no, . We are wise, we didn't solely develop Lagos, but Igbo presence & dynamism formed a critical component to the present day Lagos mega City status... which have started to overflow into Ogun State. Simple logic will tell you, the overall impacts of a population group representing 30% or better of overall population of a given space (be it in economy, trade and commerce, real estate, transportation, population etc). Now, if you deduct 30% or more of that population from the whole, you will end up with 30% less of the overall pontential of Lagos and subsequently Ogun State as Lagos and Ogun are symbiotically related.

Now coming to the question of why the Igbos always claiming to have developed Lagos, while their region is underdeveloped?. You know, this is one of the numerous reasons why Nigerian history is not taught in Nigerian shools and folks like you are lost in so many whys... things are the way they are, but I will try to answer this particular question with questions and I will leave it at that.

1). Why are the Igbos always sacrificing their lives in clamouring for their own independent state or regional government that will see their population from various parts of the country (Lagos/SW) reduce to its minimum level back into their region?.

2). Could massive Igbo migrations into Lagos/SW and other parts of the country rooted in the conspiracy between hausa-fulani/Yoruba right after the civil to neutralize/pacify the capacity and capabilities of Igbos through the most strident fedral government policies of marginalisation...20pounds, dividing up/ caving up their region, no Sea port/river port/international airport/no road/no fedral government presence/no industries/no rail roads/hundreds of army, police check points on the worst roads/ accidents that take thousands of Igbo lives yearly on Lagos to SE roads..... I can go on and on and on.

3). could it be that Lagos as we know it today in part came about by successive fedral government set policies right after the civil war drawn from those above aggregates mentioned in #2?.

Finally, can the Igbos or any group actually develop their region if they are not in the main stream of political power that doesn't respect the already tilted constitution that supposed to dictate how everyone live?.

Rabble-rouser can you show me revenue generated in those markets you mentioned, since you have facts

At operator level there is no proper record-keeping or audit report to reveal precisely what the market share of revenue is but government records by Local Govt Area have better reporting on revenue.

Govt put Balogun/Oke Arin retail market as its biggest revenue maker across entire Lagos State.

Taxation in Lagos is progressive. So tbhis would mean more tax is paid by retailers in Balogun than retailers at any other market in Lagos.

Kettykings,

Honestly I respect you( or used to), but I see no reason for these comparison bullshit Ndi ofe mmanu that you seem to relish lately. As a matter of fact, the discourse and point of these topic is utterly baseless. What do we the greater Igbo nation gain from all these childish dick measuring contest with those people? na you dey give these generates and pseudo-intellectual gnats the avenue and time of the day to insult us... for one it's a known fact already that those people are masters of twisting facts, I mean the control the media in Nigeria... and that says a lot in the broader context of things. They twist facts and window dress even the most obvious flaws in their regions with such perfection that you would wonder how the fucck they pull it off with such finesse. Na person wey never stay long for SW go believe all the lies they use to fool themselves here. Na only Lagos and to some extent Ogun state dey buoyant for that region (and we know why). Forget all the rubbish paper statistics and false IGR infometrics any half-wit with some decent command of IT skills can concoct on his laptop from the comfort of his home and publicize as facts... I know these people inside-out, I was born and bred in Ibadan... so I'm confidently privy to their fake El Dorado mirage which they stupidly try to sell... but let me not address their issues cause they are inconsequential.

You should focus your time and energy on issues affecting the SE alone, Kettykings for the sake of God stop the comparison rubbish already, it's getting old and irritating. Let's channel our energy into returning wealth and development in all aspects back to the East, I'm proud of what the likes of Emoney and the others are doing, by bringing back wealth to the East and doing other fundamental things for social benefits by building roads within their communities etc... I was in the East these last December for Christmas, and was overwhelmed with joy at the rate at which our people both home and abroad are massively returning home to invest... like nearly every square foot of distance covered was a construction or business layout going on... mansions everywhere, industries booming at every location even in the remotest rural areas, individuals single-handedly taking up major community building projects etc... I almost cried for joy.

Surely we are making progress and the signs are there, people are finally waking the FUCCK up, One Nigeria is dead on arrival, no longer feasible and the smarter ones, I mean Igbos have long cashed on that fact, and have stopped investing their wealth in other regions only to be rewarded with scorn and diminishing returns even from loafers they feed. I hope Igbos (Kettykings, AnambraIstdon and others) stop wasting their time by creating or contributing to useless threads like this, it's just not worth it anymore.
