I have had my partner do good things for people is the correct one....I'm not certain about the reason though. The verb had agrees with the do. You can simplify the sentence and you'll see the do agrees better. To "have had someone do something" is "to have made them do it", so the sentence could also be put as "I have made my partner do good things for people" |

phidipe: But "done" is not a tense and cannot stand on its own without a regular verb, it is a form of verb. |

phidipe: Like I said before, "done" is not a tense rather it is part of the verb "do", so it cannot stand alone. For the verb "do" the tenses are do, doing and did. So, the true answer to my question is "do" as two other people stated. Thanks all the same. |

Non of the above sentences pass the message you intended to ask. You have had To have something or someone under your possession. You have heard To hear something with your ear. Have had/heard" present perfect tense My partner does" is not a correct complement of "I have had" Just imagine that someone under you is doing good to people or you heard someone doing good to people. I" concord with plural verb My partner" concord with singular verb If I should go with your statement as it was written. I have had my partner does good to people. But it should have been written as I heard my partner is going good to people Or I heard my partner does good to people. |
