Which school have you tried?

Latvia admission and visa process is similar to Lithuania, i advise people that has been denied Lithuania visa before to focus on Latvia.

While I am not here to dispel what Seamanic said, and also noting that 2.88 over any Nigerian grade-point isn't the strongest academic foot to put forward for such admission process, don't be discouraged about trying.
Most schools have a requirement of a minimum of 60% and a 2.2 puts you fairly within that range, if not a little over.
You would only have to make up with a SUPER convincing motivational letter as to why you should be granted admission.

Life isn't for the swiftest. All the best with the process!

This isn't true . Do your findings , it largely depends on the university and the course . In my experience universities in Lithuania do not emphasize on a 2:1 and above. But don't take anyone's word for it, research by yourself, email schools and look at their requirements. I find that alot of Nigerians really don't like to do their research and would rather wait for someone to give them information which might even be false . You're going to do a master's program so if anything you should begin to research and find things out by yourself.

Not really. Well i know of a friend that submitted through vfs and the whole process took 1month and a week before his visa was issued although he's going for Masters .

But of recent now i notice thier processing time have change do to much applicants. They need to be more patient, lots of people use the Turkey embassy. Even Turkish residents as well as nearby countries.

But it will be issued. You still have time so be patient since the school resumption is still ahead and let keep hope the best
