Thank you.

He wrote the B1 English test for his first renewal instead of the A2 English test and he got the Visa within a month. Cheers

Seasons greetings my people

I will be applying for the FLR and intend to pay for the priority service soon but have some concerns.
For one, I and my partner do not have joint bills but have separate bills at the same address. I also rented a room for Monday to Thursday to save on commuting costs as I have to travel for work.
Also, I have recently changed jobs twice in 2 months after staying at one role for almost 2 years. I intend to use my payslips and bank statements for the application, so do I need to provide 12 months payslip and bank statements? Also, my payslips and bank statements were sent electronically, do I need to request paper copies or can I just print? Also curious about all the fees including priority costs? I really need some clarity on how to proceed. Thanks my people.

Please can someone explain to me how this document scanning method works?

Is there a designated body or place where this has to be done or I can just do it on my own and submit? My hubby is due for his FLR renewal in February and everything just seems to be different from what I thought it would be when he first applied.

You can scan and upload all your documents online after you have submitted your application online and referred to Sopra Steria (UKVCAS) to book a biometric appointment.

Or you can choose to take your documents with you for biometric and pay about £45 for them to help scan and upload them.

All the best.

You need at least 12 items of correspondence in your name and that of your partner spread over the last 2 years before you submit your application.

Yes, you need to submit payslips and bank statements for the last 12 months before you submit your application. Please remember the 28 day rule.

Please request for original bank statements from your bank. They usually don't accept online statements printed from home/elsewhere unless it is stamped by the bank.

As for payslips, the online copies should be fine but if you can get your HR to stamp them, that would be great. I recently applied for my FLR in September with payslips issued through Sage and I got the visa. Please remember to get a letter from your HR to confirm your employment details.

All the best

Hi Ladies/Gents

If you have found your way to this page, then congratulations, you have passed that first hurdle smiley

I thought after all those with Successful UK spouse visas, it will be nice to have a page for the next stage, FLR for the extensions after 2.5years being in the UK with your significant other kiss

So I will be gathering as much information as I can as time passes to help with upcoming applications.

The main thing to remember, once your spouse has been granted their spouse visas, and arrive in the UK is to make sure you start gathering evidence of cohabitation since this is what you supply instead of the Communication evidence smiley

So here goes for the next stage smiley

Karen

Good morning,

Next level : FLR

When can I apply if my wife's spouse visa expires on the 19th of August 2021 ?

How can I meet the 28 days rule if they ask for 6 or 12 months payslips? for example, the
last 12 months will be more than 28 days, but the most recent payslip prior to online application
can be within 28 days.

My wife's initial Afe Babalola University degree was CEF C1 as per UK Naric letter of confirmation which was
accepted for the initial application. Would you recommend applying for the same UK Naric near the time
of renewal or just sit the English exam?

Thanks
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by teejay231: 1:28pm On Jan 04, 2020
Thanks a lot for your advice. Does the 28 day mean that the most recent payslip and bank statement must be less than 28 days old? Another issue I have is that some of the correspondence documents are online such as phone bills and so on. Also, can I have my bank stamp on my online copies before scanning? I don't think I can get my previous employers to stamp on my previous payslips. Also what is the total cost of the application including the NHS fee and super priority? Thanks a million.

Total cost for super priority

Fees - 1033
Super Priority- 800
NHS - 1000

So roughly about £3000

I submitted my application about 7 weeks before expiry to get a date for biometrics for 1 month before expiry.

So are you saying someone won’t be able to apply online get a date and apply 20days before expiring for priority which takes 5days.
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by deept(m): 6:12am On Jan 07, 2020
Trouble no good, if they want 21 days before expiry give them 42 unless you want to gamble with your application fees and start all over again.
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by abubarakat: 10:44am On Jan 07, 2020
The only date that matters is the day you submit your application ONLINE. Applicants usually get about 6 weeks or thereabout to book a biometric appointment. And if there are no available appointments for Super Priority closer to you, you can always try neighboring cities.

As long as you SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE before your visa expires, you will be fine.

All in all, do whatever gives you peace of mind.

Yes, the most recent payslip and bank statement MUST be less than 28 days old. This is IMPORTANTER!!!

As for online documents, try to export it as a PDF file and upload. You are uploading online anyways, so it doesn't make any difference.

If you bank statements are not the original copy sent through post by your bank, PLEASE make sure you to take them to your nearest and have them stamp every single page.

All the best.

In as much as we are trying to be careful, please let's also be mindful of the rules. It is clearly that stated NOT to apply earlier than 28days before your visa expires.

It wouldn't hurt to add a cover letter but it's not a requirement. However, please be mindful of the content of the letter. You don't want to open any unnecessary can of worms.

The supporting guide clearly states that you are allowed to submit documents in each of your names, if you don't have documents in joint names.

You only need to submit one document each for each document you don't have in joint names. In other words, 12 documents (6 each) covering the last 2 years before the date of your application. PLEASE make sure the documents cover at least 2 years before the date of your application.

All the documents I submitted for my application were not in joint names; they were mixed (single and joint).

Thanks a lot, you have been so helpful.

I want to include a cover letter as we don't have utility bills in our names and I currently use another address for work, Monday to Friday. Also, curious what documents other than utility bills can I use? Any correspondence to the same address? I apologise for all the questions

Hi All,

This thread (and the initial UK Spousal Visa thread) has been of immense help to me and my wife during the application processes. I was going to pay a lawyer thousands of pounds for information and guidance you guys are providing for free. Thank you all very much. I got approved last year November, but just got around to posting my list of information:

Proof of Identity / Travel History
British Residence Permit for Applicant
Applicants' International passport (original)
Spouse passport (Original)
Applicant Passport Photograph

Proof of Application
Relationship Declaration
Consent for Applicant
Marriage certificate (Original)
Printout of Application

Proof of Cohabitation
Proof of property ownership from the owner of property you live in ie mortgage statement
"Letter signed by the owner of property you live in stating that you have
permission to live there"
Copy of an ID document of the owner of the property you live in
Car insurance certificates
Mobile phone contracts
Pensions Letter (Combination of Previous and current Jobs )
GP Letters
Letter from Relative or Friends confirming that partner and I lived with them for
some or all of the 2 years

Finances
Letter from my employer
Applicant's Payslips from 2017
Applicant's bank statements (2016-2019)
Applicant p60 for relevant period
Applicant's Signed Contract of Employment

Educational/Proof of English language
English language test certificate A2

Other
Printout IHS payment
Printout IHS reference number
Printout UK visa application payment
Printout appointment confirmation

We applied approximately 7 days before the expiry of my initial visa. We did this for several reasons: not applying before 28 days from the expiry of visa as per UKVI rules, and also when it comes to applying for ILR you need to have been here 5 years total or else you'll have to do this same process to cover the time between the expiry of FLR and the 5 years which could end up being a matter of 1 month. We used the super priority service and got a decision in 3 hours by text. To me, it was worth it for peace of mind. Plus my job was on my case about the visa so it was nice to be able to give them an answer asap.

Once again, thank you guys for all your help! Best of luck.

Hello beautiful people,

Thanks for such a beautiful forum with lots of brainstorming and positive experiences....

i have questions i will wish to ask from time to time.. please help with answers..

However, for now, please help with these questions:

- My Spousal visa vignette is from Sept 2019 - 20 June 2022 (expiry date for my BRP)... please when can i start to worry about FLR M extension? Please can one help with some specific period because i'm seeing 45days to pick appointment dates when it says u cant apply before 28days or so..

- How does the 28day rule work again? already forgotten it.. The date of payment of application should not be more than 28days after the most recent payslip and financial documents ? Right?

- My wife n i co-habit with her sister for now, and we intend to get our place later this year.. Does this affect our chances for documents like Council tax? Because she and her sister are the names attached to the tax bill.... Should she add me to the council tax bill, meaning 3 people? at least till we get our own place.

- This Bank letter, GP letter, HMRC and NHS letters i keep seeing as documents shown.. please can y'all explain a bit further? because my wife says she doesn't have HMRC nor NHS letter as when she goes to the GP, she isnt given any letters...

Thanks for answering my questions for now.. cheesy

Congratulations! I will be applying in a few weeks and currently trying to prepare and avoid having to pay a lawyer thousands of pounds. I paid for my first application before discovering naira land threads and would really love to avoid doing that again.

I do have a question though. How did you obtain your p60? Also did you send all pages of your employment contract? I have had 4 contracts so far. Thanks.

(1) read backwards, it’s in the thread.. almost above your question.

(2) best to wait until you get the visa so as not to submit more than necessary docs. Because you’ll need proof of address of your current place and the previous place. If you want to be added and the owner of the house doesn’t mind, no problem. Otherwise it will just be classed as proof of of address for just 1 person (which isn’t a problem.

(3) she doesn’t receive bank letter? That’s very unusual. As for GP, so she goes to the GP without being invited? She must be really healthy. If you don’t have these, just replace with others. Simple.

Ppl are moving to paperless these days. After registration, usually GPs don't send appointment letter but sms reminders. You will definitely receive letter for Hospital appointments
