Well to cut the long story short, one thing led to another and we had sex together.

Note: I'm human and she is too, so please don't blame us.

But what I'm worried is if there are spiritual repercussions for the act?
Because I'm a little bit worried.

Even though it's true that Christian marriage vows only apply "till death", it's actually an insult to the man's memory to sleep with his widow less than a month after his life was claimed by the bad road, in his matrimonial bed, no less...

I believe if you are truly remorseful and don't intend doing it again, you should go and make some kind of donation to his church or some orphanage or something as an attempt at propitiation.

So if you like, keep thanking people who tell you that nothing will happen; the fact remains that you owe the dead man an apology of some sort because you acted in poor taste, the same way you would be indebted to him had you done this while he was living.
