RabbiDoracle: No one is above mistakes in the stock market. Just that with time you can minimize your mistakes. However, experience is the best teacher. They can't minimize their mistakes, until they start trading. There's always a saying, as a beginner "TRADE WITH MONEY YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE" 1 Like |

Mcy56: Thank God my oga RabbiDoracle is now talking like grandpapa. ...no more T-shirt tearing I was tackling him earlier because this may scare potentials good investors in this new decade. ... Just imagine Ogas like Emmanuelwumi, Wanajo, Bigjay, Rabidoracle, oakperl, Peteroooo, currentprice, onegentleguy, Rebecca, Pluto etc were scare with T-shirt tearing in their newbies days, we would not have wealth of investment information we are sharing today.... .....we need one another to survive. ...let's not burn bridges. . ....well done oga RabbiDoracle 2 Likes |

Lookandlaugh:That stock was among the stocks promoted by Abayomi Obabolujo in those days (around 2007 or so). I remember going to Abayomi's office then at Onipanu to buy 50,000 units at N5 per unit (that is totaling N350,000). The one that pains me most is that a friend of mine also bought 60,000 units simply because he saw me buying and thoughts the future of the stock will be bright. Japaul was the basis of comparison then as Japaul was selling around N12 or so. The truth is that buying Geofluid then was a mistake, but I have since move on. They have a registrar which I cannot remember now. So, you can find out any information you want from the registrar. |

Lol....You guys should not be too uptight. "tear shirt" is a figure of speech and intended to be humorous. When he used terms such as "smell moi-moi when dem never grind beans" and "Share price wey just take break for Ore to drink red bull before advancing" , nobody complained o because portfolios dey enter green. 3 Likes |

ChybuzzDD: To succeed in the stock market you need knowledge, far more knowledge than people realise and also experience. Without adequate knowledge/financial literacy you are only going to crash. So what I advice is: 1. You need to first understand what shares/stocks are and how the stock marker works. This is very important. Go online and look for books that explain how the stock market works in simple terms. You can try the one in this link https://zerodha.com/varsity/module/introduction-to-stock-markets/ pls note I haven't read the book and the author is Indian so he will be talking about the Indian stock exchange. But the principle is the same across the world. 2. Decide if you want to be a fundamentalist or a technical trader. A fundamental investor analyses the companies financial results and looks for good, financially healthy stocks to buy at prices lower than what they are worth. He buys to hold for a long time and enjoy long term capital appreciation and/or dividends. He may also sell if prices rises to a level he feels the stock is over prices. The technical trader on the other hand uses technical analysis (just like forex trading) to analyse stock charts and take advantage of short term trading opportunities, buying low and selling high. So decide which side you want to belong and study along that line. You can also combine both strategies. Some do it here. For a basic intro to fundamental analysis download and read this https://zerodha.com/varsity/module/fundamental-analysis/ For a basic intro to technical analysis download and read this https://zerodha.com/varsity/module/technical-analysis/ 3. Do yourself a favour and read the first 50 pages of this thread. Then you can read the last 50 pages of this thread too and from now on keep following the thread. A lot of useful information can be found here and some of your questions will have already been answered here. 4. LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT DO NOT PUT A KOBO IN THE STOCK MARKET OR IF YOU MUST, ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE TILL YOU HAVE STUDIED AND HAVE AT LEAST A FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THE STOCK MARKET IS AND KNOWLEDGE OF FUNDAMENTAL AND/OR TECHNICAL ANALYSIS. Give yourself time. The stock market is here and is nor running away. When you eventually start trading you may make a few mistakes but these will be minimised if you have a good grounding from your studies. As your experience grows you will only get better. Good luck. 11 Likes 6 Shares |

bigjay01:It's likely to drop further but not below #10 support. #11 support has been tested and was easily broken hence the pullback. |

Dividend hunters gradually taking position in UBA, Zenith, GTB and Fidelity. FO........needs 100k to move its share price up by +10% for today. 100k bid on ground at N19, needs attention. Investors skeptical and playing safe at fcmb, bids queue up bleow 1.90 Caveat: This is purely based on observation as trading is ongoing. Updated: FO moved to N19 already. ............... I dey suspect someone here Oga bigjay or Prinkez or jamace Abeg na joke o. |
