Hello House, its amazing being here. The knowledge that has been shared has been very helpful so far and I've really learnt a lot. I'm a few weeks gone and in the process of applying for a visa to go have my baby. Please can someone help share details of hospitals in Chicago that can be contacted in order to get correspondence from the hospital? Would really appreciate. Thank you in advance for the help. |

Well, at least this idea of paying off the discount, is a ray of hope. What I will advice going forward is for people to look for hospitals with cheaper total bill. For example my last birth in LA, total itemized bill was 13k: 10 for me, 3k for baby...vaginal delivery. The self pay price was 3k. Having to pay back 10k looks more feasible than 21k. The greatest tragedy that happened to us is this present govt, else as at early 2015, dollar was still 165...it would not be an issue at all if I was looking at 1,650,000. However, i agree with Omobendel. For those with larger discounts, getting it to 12k and backing it up with lots of prayers (tongue out to the atheists) should do the trick. Finally, it is time to commence research again...this is not time for everybody to flock to one hospital cos I believe if we can see a full bill of 13k, there should also be a 10k full bill somewhere in America. For starters, that hospital that advertises regularly on this page...i don't know but they seem to me like people that will have that kind of total bill. Otokini I sympathise with you, imagine not being asked anything. Could ur recent Canada application have anything to do with it? 2 Likes |

Hello everyone! I had my son in Emory in 2018. With all the stories of getting rejected because of low Bills and filling B1/B2 instead of B2 when filling forms, I was so worried about my interview. I'm pleased to say we had a successful application in Abuja. Here is the transcript. VO: Good morning, may I have your passports please. (I hand them over) VO: Have you two ever travelled together before? DH: Yes VO: Where? DH: Houston VO: Was he born in the US? (Points at my toddler) DH: Yes VO: Do you plan on having another baby in the US DH: Yes, in the future. VO: Are you pregnant right now? Me: Nods Types for a while VO: What do you do? Me: Bleep VO: And you? DH: Bleep VO: When are you travelling? DH: In April VO: For how long? DH: 2 weeks (dh has an academic trip so we will go together and he will be back after 2 weeks while I stay back) VO: Where is your other child? DH: he's in boarding school, we didn't want to disrupt his schooling VO: will he be making this trip too? DH: Yes, the whole family VO: Do you have any relatives in the US? Dh: no we don't VO: How much did you spend for the last birth? Me: A total of about 7,100 (doc, epidural, hospital, tests, paediatrician) VO: Where was this? Me: Atlanta Types for a while VO: I'll be granting you your visas, please go ahead and pay your reciprocity fee. Very short and straightforward. I've been so excited! Thanking God for favour. Now I can ask. Please I need accommodation in Atlanta, any ideas? 9 Likes |

Majemitee: Congratulations, this is something different. Who has noticed that it is only Nigerians in Nigerian that are being denied because of discount. I have friends in Ghana and London both Nigerians who renewed successfully. The discount is not from govt funds, they are just tired of Nigerians having their babies in America. Trump does not want Nigerians coming to America ( info from an insider). All in all, you are favoured. Thank God. I said it, that trump does not want Nigerians in his country. There are other places to visit and have fun. Everyone should forget USA for a while and visit other beautiful places in the world. 3 Likes |

MamaOO: Yes, you are right. A good number of Airlines often have specially reserved in-house packages for them. This is done in a bid to make the industry more competitive and to have a wider reach, sales wise. Airlines do purposely allow lucrative incentives for 3rd party travel agencies and sister companies to allow for collaborative efforts at reaching travelers better and faster, even at the grassroots level. If Airlines were to be the only ones selling air travel directly to travelers, their reach may be limited. Take for instance, an Airline operating a Boeing 747 jumbo jet with capacity for over 700 passengers may take almost forever for all seats to be sold, for a typical route such as from Lagos (LOS) to Heathrow London (LON). This may cause unnecessary delays and inability for the Airline to meet up with official flight schedules, except it wants to travel with several hundreds of empty seats. A huge economic loss that will be. However, by giving room to competitiveness and not being too greedy by creating some channels of profitability for travel agencies all over the place, it is easy to quickly sell out all seats and thereby meet schedules, and profitably too. Such well established giant travel agencies as WakaNow and TravelStart benefit from the hidden in-house offers that Airlines make available from time to time. The beauty of this sort of business model is that the travel agencies are able to weigh (compare) various existing offers, fares and rates from hundreds or thousands of Airlines that they are affiliated to and therefore present their customers and indeed members of the traveling public the most affordable and mouth watering deals often better than what any traveler may be able to directly get from the Airlines themselves. 2 Likes |

It was a woman funny enough. Most of the Airbnbi have found dont allow extended stays. I'll most likely do Delta but they dont have straight flights again. I have been seeing cheap ones using kayak. I hope I can sort this accommodation out soon. cretin: |
