On my phone, using Chrome and on the transcribing page, I go to the address bar and I type "view-source:" before the http...that gives access to the HTML code of the site/page and is same as view elements on PC. Then I do an in-page search on the HTML code, looking for "URL of call audio".
Just copy the URL in the quotation mark from the https to the last thing which is usually a number. Open another tab and paste it, it'll be the call's audio stream. You can click on the 3 dots on the stream panel and download it.

But please delete it after. So as not to go against the non disclosure agreement we signed on joining.

Why not just do it the normal way. Its fine if you fail some, just learn from it and get better. Your method is easier but it won't help you get better understanding of thier accents. If uk call is too difficult kuku do mainly US calls until you can attempt it again.

Good point. I only do this when I'm out of release tokens though... back against the wall.

The Gotranscript test is crazy they audio is mixed up deliberately, but the trick is that you have to do more of research to understand the subject matter and you might have to wait for weeks to get results. Transcribeme is also cool, i mean the test...but QA is always the training ground,so enjoy QA world first.
I gave up on transcribeme, I'm already on Gotranscript, but I can say QA world is better overall and I'm still enjoying it cheesy

That's not a big deal.
Go to your bank obtain your statement of account and upload both sides of your national ID, international passport or driver's license ID.

Sorry. But unay Naija pple you know this thing is shaky ,yet you are piling your funds inside the account. Why? Because of $5 charge?

You should have your funds withdrawn weekly and leave $1 to 4 there.

And were you signing in with other browsers or devices or network, too frequently?

Also did you attempt to withdraw immediately the money came in?

This may also be suspicious as next day would have been a preventive measure since these accounts na short cut.

I tell you. The other day I saw one dude said he withdrew "$300, a months hustle",from the account.
I just dey shake my head with the feeling say the guy no like himself at all. All because of $5 withdrawal charge.

It depends sha.

I still strongly believe paypal won't just wake up one morning and limit ur account(from my experience), they must have noticed something with it first.

I've been using my paypal account for close to two years now without any issue.
There are best practices when it comes to paypal and as long as u stick to those practices (from my experience) u are all good.

That ordinary $5 u are referring to is actually over 20 mins of audio that u spent ur precious time and effort transcribing..

When opening a PayPal account, some open it as a registered business not knowing it's a trap. That's probably the issue now.

Hummm. I have had two accounts permanently limited before this one. But my activities were plenty and would have consistently raised red flags. Now I just keep a low profile.

I only log in with one IP and from my email. I log in once in two weeks, Fridays of the second week, so I don't see any reason. I guess it's meant to happen Sha. And the account is over 5 months.

Yes you can be self employed anywhere you are in the country transcribing for a living.

This thread will teach you everything you need to know to start up and the tools needed to deliver the goods.

You would need

1. A PC, tab or mobile phone
2. Affordable internet connection
3. Good head phones
4 Good command of English

Everything else can be learned on this thread. For those of us who have already started transcribing, we're welcome to share our ideas here so that this can be our online community.

To avoid this thread being banned, kindly let us adhere to all the rules of Nairaland.

Should we want to share screenshots, kindly let's block the company and important call info.

Also all forms of advertising is prohibited and will be reported.

Edited 9/7/2019 posted by samsard for newbies. Once you master these, the rest go easy

E.g
Rep: I was gonna, uhmmm, I was gonna tell ya about, about the new product we launched.
What they need: I was going to tell you about the new product we launched.

Punctuation: Hello, Philip. It's Emily calling from CLH Group. How're you doing today?
Cust: I'm fine, thank you. And how are you?

Longer calls will be more complex in terms of punctuation but for a start
A comma before and after a name in mid sentence. A comma before or after a name in salutation.
You're also allowed MINOR corrections for making clear transcripts.
Anyway, read through the FAQ and regularly Consult it while working at least till you acquaint yourself with it's detail

All full company names, PayPal email addresses and screenshots that include confidential company information must not be shared on this thread and will be reported
