Panel of judges, accurate time keeper and my co contestants. My humbly submission....

I read almost all the submission made here and I also submitted a piece. As planned it is meant to be 12 people going away with 10k which am looking forward to be among. But thanks to God, the organiser decided to give almost everyone a chance.....we all tried if i must say. Am okay with the two options but let's all enjoy this God's blessing as it's a free gift from him sent through an angel. Thanks to everyone involved, looking forward to my first time of cashing out on nairaland grin. Then I will now create a thread called "How I made N4999.99 on nairaland without doing anything"

You see ify, herein lies the problem.

Some of us put in our mental effort to write a poetic well constructed descriptive essay (although I must admit everyone can't be perfect)

I would love to suggest that your initial rules are used. At the end of the day, it's a competition and we will learn to improve on where we lack

So if you are given N5,000 now just for writing that story of about 1000 words, that's not enough? As in, N5 per word? How much do content writers who offer freelance services get paid?

This is why opportunity never comes some people's way. What if u are not chosen as part of the 12. Then u start ranting as to how ur vocabulary was perfect. U never can tell what the criteria for picking the winners was but then here you are just been greedy and already calculating what to do with the 10k in your head. Lol.........make I burst ur head, God no go shame us. Shm,,,,

I went through the thread once more to search for your "poetic well constructed descriptive essay" ... Unfortunately, I can't find any essay written in the name " Loooooooogstory"...

Now I have no doubt that some of you have several monikers in which you used in "upvoting" your post.

The organizer of the competition, out of her magnanimous nature felt everyone had written a good piece, and, felt the goodies should go round, but, you feel entitled to nothing less than N10k for writing an essay. What will you do if the organizer decides to cancel the competition?

If the organizer decides to be this self centered like you, would you be on this thread with the hope of getting a kobo?

And to think that some of you went ahead liking your own post with your several monikers with hopes of influencing decision, goes a long way to show the greediness and rot that has eaten up our country!

How can Nigeria ever be a better place? And we will start blaming our leaders for our self inflicted woes.

why are people like this? It's a free gift, and I'm sure everybody that submitted their piece put in lots of efforts to get it done. Don't let us be selfish.

Even though I don't agree with you being against the guy on expressing his preference for 12 beneficiaries instead of 25, I think you've raised a valid observation on the activities of alternate monickers.

Ifyalways before you make your decision, I'd advise you check that nobody is a double beneficiary. It's likely that some people may have submitted more than one essay (under an alternate moniker) so as to increase thier chances. Anyone caught should be disqualified from the competition!

Modified
There is a way to at least fish some of them out.

Check the accounts of ALL the participants for;
1. Any account that was created after the competition was announced (January 8th);

2. Any account whose last post prior to the submission of the essay is at least 2 months

PS: Not scaling through the above doesn't mean being guilty of submitting twice, but that would be a good place to start looking at.

After pasting it on nairaland, did you do the spacing before posting or you just arranged it only on your phone?
