First time post. Please mommies and mommies to be in the house. Help a sister. I have been married for 5yrs plus and have not recorded any conception. I have been taking all kinds of fertility treatment both English and herbal. In 2016, after a convincing treatment by the herbal man yet no pregnancy, he advised I bring my hubby for examination. Knowing who hubby is, I knew he would never take herbal drugs, so I told the man my hubby can never come here no matter what. So he advised we go for semen analysis. I told hubby about it, though he refused at first later he accepted. My fellow mommies, results has it that there is no live cells in Hubby's semen. We doubted this and went for four different lab tests, all came out same. We then went went to a fertility hospital where he was diagnosed of non obstructive azoospermia. We were then advised to go for sperm donor or adoption. Though, the gynae still placed him on fertility drugs. From 2016 till date lab results still come out same(no live cells in semen: zero million sperm count). Please has anyone succeeded in treating this in the past. I need to have my own child mommies. Please your advise will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post |

Glurssymum: Relax your mind, there's no cause for alarm. Both of you should come together as one in this situation. my advice for both of you is that, save money for the IVF promo in any good hospital and go for the sperm donor. don't waste any money again. above all be prayerful. I see you carry your triplet soon 1 Like |

Glurssymum:Hello Glurssymum..we have d exact same situation..ours has been 4 years..my honest advice?..don't waste any more time, go for ivf as d doctors suggested. In some cases, sperm can still be retrieved surgically using procedures like TESE or TESA. If sperms cant be found after dis procedure, you can now decide on using donor sperm...taking dis decision isn't as easy as it seem, but just make sure you and ur partner agree before proceeding..wish you success. |

Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Glurssymum: 5:27pm On Jan 12, 2020 |
Fertilemum: Ooh! Mama. This situation is really eating me up. We were told that almost all cases where TESA or TESE was done for non obstructive azoospermia were not succesful. That success were recorded for obstructive using this procedure. Again, doctor advised that damages to the testes can result during this process. |

Hubby has a normal scrotum size with no issues during intercourse. I do not understand where this is coming from at all. |

I will also advice you save up for ivf, we are into the same issue, this is our 8th year (though we have done IVF but miscarried). Once it is non-obstructive azoospermia, I.e. if he has high FSH, the only solution is either you use donor sperm or go through TESE+ICSI+IVF and most fertility clinic don't offer this. Parenting a child doesn't mean he/she should have DH DNA but by the love you show to them. |

loldar2000: Thanks alot. There shall be no more loss. You shall carry your next pregnancy to term and deliver by the grave of God. I respect you for the courage of accepting this. I find it difficult to conceive for an unknown man. Please remember me in your prayers mama. |

Glurssymum:Very true, and it will be even more difficult for your husband because at least it will be "your own child". But in this life, we have to take whatever comes our way and get stronger. Avoid telling any family member and of course, he would legally own the child even though not biologically. God has given science to us so that we don't die without children. The importance of a child is to have someone that will take care of you in old age and see you as a a parent. I know it is definitely easier said than done (I am here struggling with my own issues too) but hey, who are we to question God? Just try to understand that as tough as the donor sperm situation is for you, it is tougher for your husband. So try to reassure him and make it seem like a no-issue. Baby dust to you and may God grant your desires. 19 Likes |

loldar2000:Ma'am, I will really like to advice you before you embark on the IVF again because I also bleeds for two weeks with clot after my positive result but I was given Gestone injection and cyclogest daily, I was asked to be on bed rest for two weeks. My friend that gave birth to triplet in December was asked to be on bed rest at the hospital for three weeks because of the bleeding too. So, a lot of things needs to be done even after the positive result so that miscarriage will not occur after positive result, that is for people that do see Brown discharged or blood after the positive result. I've a strong believe that a lot of people here will start attending antenatal soon. I am Congratulating all the Ma'ams in advance for the positive result and for the joy that will arrive each families this year 2020. 12 Likes |

Mummy4life1:Thanks for the advice... Since it was ivf, I was place on both even after positive result, though the gestone inj was to be administer twice a week while cylogest was on a daily basis. Infact, this journey is a very tough one and am beginning to loose hope of carrying my child. I have done 4IVF, 2 miscarriages, 2 failure. I don't even know what to do again, no money, I have to resolve to iui and I recorded another failure just today... |

loldar2000:Very sorry madam. I would like to talk to you personally and which hospital did you cycle with? Is not really easy but we must not loose hope because our mockers must be put to shame in year 2020. They really mocked me in my church, office and my environment but today they are shocked to see my big tummy. Madam, very sure that it might be three girl and three boys that are coming to join the family in year 2020. Good things don't come easy. The day of your delivery Madam, it will be wow! At last, God did it miraculous. 10 Likes |

Dear mummies, I plan to cycle with a fertility clinic and already made a part-payment. I was informed that they batch treatment cycles, where patients would be put on some form of birth control. I know it is not optimal to put a DOR patient on birth control for IVF. I was given the mini-pill and since my ovaries are already performing sub-optimally, is it advisable to proceed with this treatment? The doctor says I have to do it that way for the IVF cycle. Make una put mouth for this matter, abeg. 1 Like |
