I wanted to ask this same question.. What's is the current situation on the minimum wage in Rivers state.

Negotiation is still ongoing. Labour want a full of our entitlement.

for how long will negotiation go on?,we are tired of wike(wicked).

Today is the last day to know if we are to be paid the new minimum wage with our January salary. If it's not signed today that means we have to wait for it if possible in our February salary. Beatrice etubo and Govnor Wike are playing us Ojoro, Kalo Kalo and wayo. I still remembered that someone said it here last year that we shall expect this minimum wage in Rivers State by March 2020 and some persons resorted to calling him names. Now i ask those people, what is happening now? The guy seems to be a prophet.

Must it be sign before we get pay? What if governor decides to pay the consequential adjustments percentage that federal government and labour agreed upon, or even pay higher without any negotiation, will any law hold him?

Our Government is just getting worst every day,is just for us to pray because it's our right,Any Goliath that refuse us our right must go down.

Wike does not have the right to negotiate on which month he will pay as arrears because the minimum wage issues became law since April 2019,looking at it with the eyes of the law, the workers have started receiving their minimum wage. So what right does it has to say he will not pay arrears from April 2019.Hmmm I laugh because court go hear this one.

The governor is not happy paying the new minimum wage. Labour have not had any agreement with the governor on when the payment will commese, but the government quickly run to the media to make announcement. Wike is the worst governor Rivers State has ever had. Very selfish and unfriendly to Civil servants in the state.

If you listened to 6am news on Nigerian info today on minimum wage. You would be convinced that Govnor Wike is truly WIKED.

Governor Nyesom Wike has approved the payment of the N30,000 minimum wage monthly salary for employees of the Rivers State Public Service.

Wike’s approval is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim.

Nsirim stated that the approval of the N30,000 minimum wage comes with the consequential salary adjustments as approved by the Federal Government.

The statement, however, did not disclose whether public servants in the state will start receiving the new minimum wage from this month, January.

At least FAAC has shared money for this month payment, governor has approved minimum wage and its consequential adjustment. our January money will be paid on time, and might come with consequential increase. To God be the Glory.

The man is worse than WIKED. I feel pity for persons here who are happy for the #10K he will add to their salary without any date of commensment of the arrears.

Me seeing is believing until I get my January alert before I believe this minimum of a thing...

Let's pray, since our governor doesn't give a damn for anybody .... Imagine the Usman danfadio stunt with the traditional ruler. Talk less of civil servants. Posterity will always be the judge ..and there's always a humbling effect for every tyrant in history .

I don't know what Civil servants did to Gov. Wike. This governor hate Civil servants so much so that he cannot do anything that will favour civil servants in the State if it is not for politics. Yet some people will be calling him "our darling governor".

NLC President Beatrice Itubo denies any formal agreement with the Rivers state government on the new minimum wage implementation. Wike is a scam!

If we don't receive new minimum wage increment on our salaries when this January salaries will be paid, then all hell will be let loosed. We are watching.
