Obi1kenobi: This post remind me the day Pazienza suggested I was one of those children born by Hausa children during the Biafran war....very sickening for such a man to stoop so poorly and trashy. This behavior surfaces in most South Eastern born Igbos. 2 Likes |

Obi1kenobi: We are not other southerners and we are not other Nigerians. We are Ndiigbo. Not really. SW interest in this case isn't our interest, because we can't really say we know the interests behind the formation of Amotekun by Yorubas. They know fully well that Nigerian owners would use the military decree that became law to stamp out the Amotekun, yet they went ahead with it. They know fully well that this resistance from FG will come, we saw how BSS and Benue attempts at forming similar vigilantes ended. So this reaction is expected, yet they hurriedly formed Amotekun. They never extended or sought for consensus with Ndiigbo before this outfit was formed, hell Many Yoruba commoners were even taken by surprise with the Amotekun thing but simply decided it was a good plan and started throwing their support around it. We were not consulted by Yoruba intelligentsia and political class before they formed this Amotekun, we can't simply assume we know what their Amotekun is all about, it's folly to think otherwise. Therefore, it would be stupid for us to even acknowledge it's existence let alone support it. What we should do is observe them from a distance and look for means we can profit from the fall out of Amotekun without ourselves being seen to be showing support for it or being against. We should be positioning ourselves to profit from their misery or success, without being actively against or in support of them. There is no isolationism in being patient and keeping your cards close to your chest. Throwing support for Amotekun when you don't know what it's all about is not wisdom, that's being emotional and trying to appear politically correct , same goes for those of us actively mocking them for it. If only Ndiigbo can just mind our own business in Nigeria, we would have solved many of our current problems. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

pazienza: The bold is one of our biggest problems. We need to learn how to play standing on the fence and striking when the time is right like the yorubas have always done. Anytime I hear southern unity from them, I immediately see gullible foolish igbos rallying with them not knowing that hey are being used. Let’s use this 2020s and finally be wise. Enough igbo blood has been spilled. It has to stop. If we don’t start watching out for our interest in this new decade, then our children and grandchildren and future generations will continue to suffer the consequences. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Wen it comes to politics, Ndiigbo are very short sighted. Ok just look at who Obiano handed APGA Ticket. Should he ever get such ticket? Uzodinma will sell Imo State worst than Okorocha to Ndi-ofe and Ndi-awusa. Many of you dont know why Tinubu and Oshiomole were intent on Uzodinma becoming Governor. It has to do with Tinubu 2023.
I am starting to feel sorry for Ndi-Imo, with the type of Governors they are set to produce. 1 Share

hammerF: Obiano played his own part of APC game. Case closed. Imo state should forget about development for now because there is so much money to recoup by Hope, Ararume, Uche and Okorocha. They spent so much and must first recover especially Hope who started counting losses since APC primary . |

pazienza: We're southerners. We're Nigerians. We're Ndigbo. None of these are mutually exclusive concepts. We do not have to share identical interests with Yorubas. When I say it is "in our interest", I mean that their success in their interest in this matter would establish legal precedent for our own interests (whether exactly aligned with theirs or not) going forward on issues of local security. If they fail alone (which they definitely will without the support of like-minded groups who seek autonomy in local security), we will fail alone too. If they succeed with our support, we will have a good chance of toeing a similar successful path. The moral principle here is a very simple one: do you believe local security should be administered from constituent units of the Federation rather than dictated from Abuja. If yes, there is zero reason not to support the Amotekun cause. And for goodness sakes, all we're doing is basically providing moral support while South West governors and elders do most of the hard work. We're not going to war for Yorubas. There's no need to get melodramatic about our token support.
I don't get what you think the downside here is. You might have to explain it. Again, you're acting like we're going to war in support of Yorubas rather than simply offering vocal support. Who is going to punish us for supporting Yorubas in the quest for autonomy in security matters? Are Fulanis are going to flog us or something> Again, we're not supporting this because of Yorubas. We're supporting it because of what it heralds for our own aspirations. If you know how we can achieve the Biafra of your dreams by "keeping cards close to your chest". I'm all ears. 2 Likes |

Osagyefo98: The judgement is really a set back for Imo State. I just want to say one thing here. If Ararume and Uzodinma are the type of people Imo State have in waiting to become Governor, then Okorocha was their best Governor by a long short. Okorocha is far better than both Ararume and Uzodinma. 1 Like |

Ndiigbo must be very alert and take this APC threat to our livelihood very serious. APC claim to want to produce 4 SE Governors by 2023. That is a threat to our growth and regional stability. The SE is the fastest growing region in Nigeria. I dont think all the development work have gone unnoticed. A few APC slaves as Governors can cripple our growth. I suspect that is wat they intend to archive with Uzodinma in Imo State. From wat i heard and could see Ihedioha was setting the wheels in motion to perform better than Okorocha. That could only be a gain for the SE as a whole. We must wake up and resist this Tinubu conspiracy to control the polity in SE by being aware of wat they conspire to do and wat we stand to lose. We stand to lose everything. Onye obula muru anya nu. Note, the article is coming from APC propaganda and media wing. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/370991-2023-apc-targets-three-states-in-south-east.html 4 Likes 1 Share |

Obi1kenobi: You like going in cycles, unfortunately I am having a busy week and might not always be able to reply you promptly. You say : "Their success in their interests". Now this is where the problem lies. You and I don't know what the Yoruba interests are, I doubt many Yorubas know what their own interests are. You can't just assume you know what this Amotekun is all about. This is the point you are not getting. 7 Likes 1 Share |

hammerF:PDP IPOB branch should stop crying on our shoulder. You fake PDP Biafran activists will continue to expose yourselves. Allow Ndigbo rest for God sake. All parties are welcome in Igboland so long it gives us room to aspire to the Presidency. APC is welcomed in Igboland. Your demonic tactics have been exposed a long time ago. Charlatans and enemies of Ndigbo should stop disturbing this thread with their evil cries. As our people say, let the eagle perch and let the kite perch, whoever says the other shouldn't let it's wings break. You cannot force one party on our throats, especially one that that took our loyalty for granted for good 16 years. APC has come to stay in Igboland, even the PDP etc so long our interest to aspire for the presidency is achieved. 3 Likes |

XANDERBOY85:You guys have been in this war since 2011! You formed IPOB for this sole purpose, empowered Kanu for this sole purpose and despite all the tactics it hasn't yielded any positives. When something is shadowed with deceit it always finds a way to fail. The height was the failure of your hired patron in 2015 and the key pay master in 2019 during the last elections. Anything that reduces Igbo political gains so far your patrons are not affected has been the pattern since 2011! Allow Ndigbo be and keep failing till eternity. Every party is welcomed in Igboland so long we claim our birthright back. The scales are gradually falling off the eyes off the ignorant ones and in time many of you may commit suicide when things keep going against your wish. Operation sell our right to the minorities and the west has been the agenda, and we shall not allow that continue. Ndigbo must rise whether many of you sellouts like it or not. 2 Likes |

pazienza: 1) You don't seem to be getting my point either that whatever their interests are beyond their publicly stated objectives, it's irrelevant to our own interests: which is having a stake in how our local security apparatus is organized. Their stated interests is the only thing of material relevance to us and the basis of our support. 2) I'm not sure why you believe there is some sinister goal they may have beyond what they've publicly stated that Amotekun is about. They're pretty unequivocal about what their intentions are and there is no reason to believe otherwise. Setting up a militia to tackle regional security concerns is simple enough on its face and isn't neurosurgery or astrophysics in complexity. Again, you may have to state what your worries are about here. Cos all I'm just seeing is deep cynicism that borders on self-destructive nihilism. And it's okay to be cynical in a country of failed leadership at all levels. But given your aspirations as a Biafran nationalist, the cynicism you advocate is advocacy for total political paralysis and I don't see how that makes sense in accomplishing your goals: goals that would require you to win hearts and minds in a broad solidarity movement that respects the autonomy and self-determination of the constituent nations of the Nigerian state. You're actually getting offended about the most tokenistic, minimalist advocacy in support of Amotekun. I'm inclined to ask you once again what you think the downside is here. What are you afraid of? 2 Likes |
