It is easy to be emotional about some of this things. But a little understanding of how things work in this country will reveal to you why BAT silence is for his good. he has political ambition and whatever he says or do now will count against him. He is a political leader.
Yoruba proverb says ' if you are yet to possess the matchet you can't start asking the kind of death that kill your father's.
If Tinubu is bit in support of Amotekun, Lagos State government wouldn't have supported it.
Even his enemies will be pushing him to commit blunder.
As to whether he will be president or not, only God knows.

The bond between the Fulanis and Tinubu is unbreakable.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is better than Ojukwu who sacrificed over three million of his brethren to the Yoruba gods of Ogun, Sango, Odun, I Obatalaw and Esu Laalu in order to break the country.

If Tinubu remains mute on this issue that means he wants to sell Yorubas for his ambition.

If I was tinubu, I would speak my mind in a way that is politically correct or remain silent. The same people asking him to side with Amotekun now against his political ambition will be against him if the table turns. Yoruba's are known for back stabbing. They did the same to Abiola

Exactly. This particular group have always been anti-Tinubu so they are baiting him to mess him up. And what you said about him being back stabbed is true. They will not hesitate to backstab him if given a chance. The same people that hate his guts and are actually praying for his political downfall are the ones saying all this. So whether he talks or not will not make any difference to them really. If anything they will still find faults in whatever he says. The guy knows his own people very well and is a good student of political history.

Their problem is always Tinubu Tinubu Tinubu.

S/E S/S at one point, we claim that Tinubu have no influence; yet they still want to hear from him.

What a tribe.

Why is it that , anything Tinubu always make you people rush to comments ?

The kind of attention you people always give Tinubu is unequal.
I'm sure u can't give that to leaders from your region.

Relax, Jagaban will talk and once he speaks; it shall attract millions of comments from SS and SE as usual.

Have you ever heard of the head of the house presumed or not, hiding when the house is on fire?
If Tinubu wants the SW people to truly see him as a leader in the mould of Awolowo and go better than MKO in his political pursuits, he should let come out and be counted at this hour of need.
More importantly, there's a southern awareness currently going on and we need to be sure there'll be no fifth columnist to derail this important step to delivering Nigeria from its shackles.

Tinubu is not the beginning and the end of everything in Nigeria, he doesn't have to be in the middle of everything in Nigerian and the fact that to some of you, nothing in Nigeria is relevant or means anything unless you see and hear from Tinubu even when it's not necessary says a lot about the man, his power and omnipotent presences in your daily realities.

Amotekun is the brainchild of serving governors and public officials in the SW, the same governors are capable of defending their program and they are successfully defending their efforts so they don't need Tinubu to speak for them, to undercut them or turn the whole into a Tinubu Vs FG affair.

This is when sensible, pragmatic and smart leaders stay above the fray and if needed, control, twist elbows and offer valuable ideas and advice in the background.

The people ranting about Tinubu not saying anything because they care about the SW or because they love Tinubu, they'd just love to see an open confrontation and turn the issue into Tinubu Vs Buhari instead of SW security Network Vs FG.

Tinubu is a smart man and he's doing the right thing by letting the governors defend and push through their efforts without taking the shine away from them or undercut their efforts and credibilities.

People need to relax and quit acting like babies.

The only tribe known for backstabbing are the Igbos who have backstabbed all Nigerians even themselves.Only a coward will say people say that I can fight but always runs away when fight comes.

What you have termed as betrayals of Yoruba to Igbos is this...

Awolowo,a politician allegedly said Yoruba will secede if Igbos are allowed to secede. An intelligent person will know that a politician without ammunitions is a bloody civilian. If any Igbo believes that Awolowo was going to fight with his agbada, then he is a dumbo. The truth was that Awolowo advised Ojukwu,a military man not to go to war and as soon as Awolowo left,Ojukwu betrayed him by declaring secession... as if they both planned it.Awolowo was saved by the whiskers.
Now apart from this, tell me another of your cooked up betrayals..

These are verified Igbo betrayals to Yoruba,South,North and the whole Nigeria...

1.Azikiwe betrayed the South to give power to the North.

2.Igbos later backstabbed the North and South by killing their leaders.

3.Aguiyi Ironsi betrayed Nigeria by foisting Unitary System of govt on the populace with decree 34.

4.Igbos betrayed Nigeria by supporting Abacha through the 1millon people march.

5.Igbos betrayed the South by always voting for the North.

6.Igbos betrayed Yorubas by voting for Tofa, another Northerner....

The list goes on...

The only yoruba leader of all time was awolowo we need him most at this time but death

A request from a face less group. We the intelligent people in the south west already know the position of the Jagaban.

He has already spoken through his governors - five of them. Jagaban will not be blackmailed by miscreants in the south west.

Some sub humans would always aspire to destroy what they can not achieve. This group is an agglomeration of such people in south west of Nigeria.

You agree then that it's South West vs FG. Who has been parading himself as leader of south west? What kind of leader stays in the"background" when his territory is under seige? What should be Tinubu's overriding interest, to be in buhari's good books or the security of the people of the south west?

It is common knowledge that the three govs who were absent at the launching of amotekun are tinubu's direct stooges. That's why he should come out and say something now so everyone knows where he stands.

Note that nobody is asking him to antagonise buhari. Speaking up to douse tensions and show leadership does not mean he has to antagonise buhari. He can be conciliatory to both sides. But his silence is an admission of a personal incapacity as the presumed leader.

If amotekun was done without his knowledge and consent, he can let us know. But being totally blank about the whole affair does not look well on him.

Note that no one has asked Osinbajo to speak up cause he's an intricate part of the government.

You are not logical.

You people always sound as if, it was Tinubu that denied you ,your Biafra.

If I ask u,to give me Tinubu's sins, that makes you think he cannot become d president; you would not be able to say them.

You know why? For any crime you accused Tinubu of, thousands of politicians from my/your are as guilty as jagaban.

If you don't agree with me,...No problem.

But pls, instead of calling me names or abusing me; why don't you just give me the name of Saints politicians from your region, that you think, can become President in Nigeria and I will ask no more.

Education please !

God bless you.

Because he knows that Buhari might want to use federal might to rig the election. Hence the birth of Amotekun.
