Have you ever heard of the head of the house presumed or not, hiding when the house is on fire?
If Tinubu wants the SW people to truly see him as a leader in the mould of Awolowo and go better than MKO in his political pursuits, he should let come out and be counted at this hour of need.
More importantly, there's a southern awareness currently going on and we need to be sure there'll be no fifth columnist to derail this important step to delivering Nigeria from its shackles.

I think the best people that should talk in this scenario are the governors and lawyers. We do not need Osinbajo or Tinubu or any leading APC members from SW to talk now If some people do not know, they are talking through their proxies.Have you heard Buhari say anything?Even Atiku has not said anything.A leader does not just talk like mumu like that except if they are the initiators e.g govs and the lawyers because of the legal aspect.
I know that Tinubu is neither a lawyer or serving governor.I think the group is being mischievous.

You agree then that it's South West vs FG. Who has been parading himself as leader of south west? What kind of leader stays in the"background" when his territory is under seige? What should be Tinubu's overriding interest, to be in buhari's good books or the security of the people of the south west?

It is common knowledge that the three govs who were absent at the launching of amotekun are tinubu's direct stooges. That's why he should come out and say something now so everyone knows where he stands.

Note that nobody is asking him to antagonise buhari. Speaking up to douse tensions and show leadership does not mean he has to antagonise buhari. He can be conciliatory to both sides. But his silence is an admission of a personal incapacity as the presumed leader.

If amotekun was done without his knowledge and consent, he can let us know. But being totally blank about the whole affair does not look well on him.

Note that no one has asked Osinbajo to speak up cause he's an intricate part of the government.

It really doesn't matter how you contort or formulate your facts and views, it is not Tinubu's job to take over issues and program put forward by sitting governors in the SW.

Amotekun is still in effect and as we speak, there's not a single official legally binding FG effort to stop or outlaw Amotekun so stop spinning your wheels unnecessarily.

PERIOD.

In effect ko. Stop playing the ostrich abeg. The AGF who has prosecutorial powers says an outfit is illegal and you say it's still effective. How? Even the police drive their prosecutorial powers from the AGf so how exactly will amotekun function.
Anyway, If Tinubu wants to be a politician, he's right to be. But if he wants to be leader of the yorubas is another matter entirely.

First of all, Yorubas are 'Alabosi' people. I am a Yoruba myself so I will call a spade a spade. This particular group has always been anti-Tinubu so their intentions have mischief written all around it. Tinubu is a political leader in APC and therefore many Nigerians in other parties have never accepted his leadership and in fact would want nothing more than to see his political downfall. These are the people that want him to get confrontational with the presidency so that he can be messed up politically. No matter what Tinubu does or does not do, his haters will always find fault with his action or inaction.

Like I said before, Tinubu likes to be seen as the political leader of the Yorubas. If he wants to live up to that billing, then he needs to speak up at critical junctures as this. I remember a certain Buhari coming all the way to Oyo state to speak for the Fulanis. Same buhari also spoke for Boko haram when they were under fire from GEJ's govt and was even recognised by the group to be their representative in negotiations. That's what I'm talking about.
The govs have done well in coming together though three of them are still suspect. It however behoves on the perceived leader to show leadership at this point.

AGF's opinion is just an opinion, not a FG stop order or legal challenge in a court of law.

Tinubu is not a public official and he's not
in charge of Amotekun, Amotekunn is a security initiative by SW governors and public officials, they are the people SW folks voted for to serve them, not Tinubu.

Your obsession with Tinubu is your own personal problem not Tinubu's problem.

Those expecting response from Tinubu concerning Amotekun should forget it. The man is currently at war with himself.
He's now divided between Amotekun, the security of his own people and his political ambition.
Only time will tell whether the blood of his kins men is worth his presidential ambition.
However, Tinubu's continued silence in matters of security of his own people that saw the formation of Amotekun shows that he's truely nursing a presidential ambition. If not, what does he stand to lose if he voice his support for Amotekun?

if he get the presidency, is it for his own good alone or for the good all the south..

You don't speak for all yorubas Mr. Man. Tinubu has never claimed leadership over all Yoruba people, though some may see him in that light but he has never claimed that position. He is very much aware that a cross section of Yorubas do not accept his political leadership. It is the very same crop of people that reject his politics that are calling for his public reaction in this instance. Imagine such abosi?? Why are Yorubas like this?

The only tribe known for backstabbing are the Igbos who have backstabbed all Nigerians even themselves.Only a coward will say people say that I can fight but always runs away when fight comes.

What you have termed as betrayals of Yoruba to Igbos is this...

Awolowo,a politician allegedly said Yoruba will secede if Igbos are allowed to secede. An intelligent person will know that a politician without ammunitions is a bloody civilian. If any Igbo believes that Awolowo was going to fight with his agbada, then he is a dumbo. The truth was that Awolowo advised Ojukwu,a military man not to go to war and as soon as Awolowo left,Ojukwu betrayed him by declaring secession... as if they both planned it.Awolowo was saved by the whiskers.
Now apart from this, tell me another of your cooked up betrayals..

These are verified Igbo betrayals to Yoruba,South,North and the whole Nigeria...

1.Azikiwe betrayed the South to give power to the North.

2.Igbos later backstabbed the North and South by killing their leaders.

3.Aguiyi Ironsi betrayed Nigeria by foisting Unitary System of govt on the populace with decree 34.

4.Igbos betrayed Nigeria by supporting Abacha through the 1millon people march.

5.Igbos betrayed the South by always voting for the North.

6.Igbos betrayed Yorubas by voting for Tofa, another Northerner....

The list goes on...

I'm not Igbo, but by the account of history, they said awolowo was betrayed by his own kinsmen.

I've been waiting for his comment more than anything cause now the SW will know the true nature of politicians and their dirty desire of self-centered,greed filled ambition
Hoping he comes through for them in the end...
On the other Note:
Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba and other ethnicity in our beloved Naija it's time to put the hating and tribalism aside, our generation needs to grow further away from such mentality instilled in us through colonialism and dirty politics. If we continue as we have all these years those politicians will never be held accountable. We're practicing Democracy and have failed woefully as learned folks to know that true power belongs to all of us not the few thief's claiming to run our nation...
it's time we stand as ONE or get squashed like scattered ants

this theory will not work out with aboki in power. let tinubu be calm, support him till he get to power , our vote alone wont do that, we also need aboki support .. after watch him make orders without fear or losing or did u have any better option aside tinubu in the south?? or can the south alone produce president without aboki vote, or are u not tired of aboki in power.

The so-called opinion was given by the office of the AGf not the person of the AGf. Stop playing the ostrich I say. Even akeredolu said they'll meet with the AGf to clarify issues around it. Falana said the state assemblies should make laws to legalise amotekun each state. But prof here thinks otherwise.
I have no business with Tinubu. I care less whether he decides to speak or not. But he can't claim to be a Yoruba political leader and be silent at such a critical juncture as dis.
Buhari who is president today spoke up and even came down to Oyo state when his people where threatened. That's what leaders do and it's not until you occupy public offices that you become a leader or act as one. Get that right.
