Bad Boys For Life doing well at the box office....
Has a high score at IMDB and RT.
Many will be disappointed after proclaiming it a flop before it's been released... smh

I watched it at a cinema yesterday....the movie is very ok....it's interesting.

Finally got around to see "Midsommar"...first of this movie was down right disturbing.. secondly the cinematography was stunning... thirdly the idea tho not fresh was refreshing...but i think the movie could have been so much more plot wise, seeing the director's cut i thought i will get more perspective but i would say it ended abruptly..

Like am so on the fence on this movie certainly not first choice to recommend to people because you can easily throw up seeing this movie but again the cinematography is breathtaking...

Finally was Ari Aster channelling his inner Christopher Nolan with that cheeky smile at the end scene? What did that mean? Liberation for Dani?

in a bleeped up way, yes.

she smiled because she's free of him. he was the last link to her past life and now that it's purged, she can now begin a new one with her new family.

That movie is one fvcking weird as fvck. It was weird, strange and a bit mind bending. But it wasn't really disturbing to me or eerie.

That weird ass scene where Dani's boyfriend had to partake in some sort of sexual ritual with those old women watching was bloody Strange and shocking.

I think i buy into DandeNumeruno theory, She has certainly lost everything and she had no life to go back to, the only thing connecting her outside was Christian, whom she wasn't really sure if she sees him as a boyfriend or an emotional support system (Why can't he be both tho), and remember the call she made at the beginning, he even forgot her birthday, i think her ties to Christian was severed finally with that sexual ritual thing..and now she's "May queen" and has a family in Hårga...so that last scene she's was like feeling sorry for Christian then probably remembered all what he has done and was like bleep this mf...hence the smile

In some wierd way i think Pelle knew Dani was destined to be "May queen".

On the flip side,

She was on a mission to bring them MEAT for sacrifice in cahoot with Pelle.

And her reward was May Queen.

Every other happenings are just distractions....

She called you and told you so....

nigga, try to reason like someone with a brain box biko.

dani lost her parents and her sister earlier in the movie, but wasn't able to grief openly and properly because she didn't want to scare off her boyfriend, whom by the way was planning to dump her prior to her family tragedy. now he felt that he's stuck with her, and her female intuition felt his dilemma and hence didn't want to make the situation more unbearable.

then she got invited to a vacation/research trip by her boyfriend's swedish friend. since she didn't want to be alone and needed the company of of people she knew, she accepted.

but what she really needed was a support network. people that will share in her pain, and grieve with her openly. people that will share the pain of loss with her selflessly.

in that swedish cult/commune, she finally encountered the support network she needed.

the commune women grieved with her, cried with her, danced with her and laughed with her.

for the first time since she became an orphan she didn't feel alone. she felt loved and appreciated and when it finally dawned on her amidst the gory sight of her boyfriend's burning flesh, she felt liberated, and hence smiled.

yes, he knew. his mission was to bring her to the cult/commune.

i strongly believed he's the one that killed her family and made it look like a murder-suicidal.

he orchestrated the events that brought dani to him and from there it was easy to invite her to tag along because he knew she won't refuse.

Another angel, but the only interaction she and Pelle had before they embarked on the journey was when Christian "introduced" her to him (as far as we know), and why would she be in cahoot with Pelle when she's not from Hårga and why was she genuinely worried about simon and connie? and from Pelle's explanation been May queen is just like winning a peagant and nothing more and why would she want to sacrifice Christian's life for that (who was still a good boyfriend before they traveled) I still buy into my explanation but then again movies like this are meant to make you think and think...it could very well be your theory.

Yes, this might be true...killing off her family will leave her with no one expect Christian, so convincing Christian to go means Dani will go because she heavily depend on Christian for support and she will need that support more so ever seeing as she just lost her family.

midsommar is far from useless. it reminds me of joker in the sense that it has layers to the story.

if you don't understand it from the onset, you won't understand the conclusion.

it's not for everyone.

Terminator: Dark Fate 7/10

It was a nice movie and I think it was meant to be a transitional movie.

I won't be back
They are putting a close to the characters of Sarah Connor and her son John Connor and also and a possible end to Schwarzenegger's appearance in future Terminator movies. It is also an end to Skynet being the architect of the demise of the future world. Legion is the new artificial intelligence that will destroy the world.

Future Terminator movies will use the same template of Man versus Machine but it will be different protagonists and and antagonists.

You people should learn to know what to expect from movies.

I don't want to insult you but close your eyes, talk to your brain and ask yourself what is realistic about a story which has fairies.

If you want realistic storyline, go and watch biographical adaptations.

This is a very silly argument. Even if a movie is a fantasy flick, it ought to have a good story that is free from plot holes. Is that too much to ask?
