engrelvis: My brother, forget your fears. It's better we do this than to allow our people and land be run over by bandits. That can never be accepted. Regarding the other part of your fear, don't worry. We'll handle it. We'll even modernize it. Make it more reliable. This is 2020. The 21st century. It's time we move from our backward, premature, unreasonable and unproductive ways of living as a Nigerian. We can't just continue living as MUMUs. Amotekum has come to stay! The rest, we'll build on it. 5 Likes 1 Share |

itsme01:Why are you wasting time replying terrorists with sinister motive to export their Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorists from North to South This is what igbos have been shouting for decades and I am very glad our Yoruba brethren have woke up to the reality of who Hausa-Fulanis truly are; they love backwardness, poverty, destruction, darkness and bloodletting, those are the symbol of Fulani everywhere in the world. They hate peace, and communal progress of the people, they want to be the only ones detecting for others which Igbos can never accept, and reason they hate Igbos for always saying no to their heartless dominance of other tribes and communities. It hurts that the same Fulanis and their mercenaries have come to destabilize Imo state to install a rogue from the back door as Imo state governor, I would have reached out to Emeka and crew to fast-track similar security outfit in the Southeast and I am sure Enugu State Governor Ugwuanyi will do something soonest. God bless the Southwest for this laudable initiative to secure the Southwest and encourage other regions to follow same pathway 5 Likes 1 Share |

oyatz:Regional police is even better. Amotekun should eventually morph into regional police. With other zones following suite. They should create RUGA for herdsmen in the North. Unless of course herdsmen and RUGA are schemes to encircle the South with armed Fulani to seize land across Nigeria. |

Papanwamaikpe: Permit me to help you here. An opinion of minister of justice can not declare a constituted authority illegal, only a competent court of law can do that. Thank you |

Why has Jagaban of burdilon and bullion van refused to make any comment about Amotekun? He should speak up about the security of lives and properties of his people above his presidential ambition and unholy alliance with the north. This is what is expected from true leaders. |

allthingsgood:like you said, (still ignorantly) that hisbah was established by states assembly in each state in the north...in like manner, amotekun was jointly established by states in the south west. The state assembly members in each state were quite aware of the creation and in total support of same. For your information, amotekun had never been in existence in our land. What we had was opc the militant group. The bakasi boys you referred to...were they as structured as amotekun? Were they recognised by the state in which they were operating? Were they established by the state's constitution and were they paid by the same state ? Amotekun is as structured as the hisbah and the civilian jtf. Hisbah is even acting as another police outfit lol. Let me educate you a little about amotekun because I can see you need one.. Each state in the south west is in support of amotekun and that's makes it a regional outfit. They have a uniform like the hisbah and civilian jtf...Opc didn't have a uniform, neither did bakassi boys . They were militants but amotekun is a security outfit established under the states law. Hisbah in nasarawa is hisbah in katsina, niger, sokoto, bauchi, borno, etc. In like manner, amotekun in Ekiti, is same amotelun in Lagos, ondo, osun and oyo states. 7 Likes |
