jancollins: According to a draft document which was developed by the national headquarters for Citizenship and Immigration Canada, a practicing polygamist cannot be denied entry to Canada on a temporary basis. However, practicing the same is not permitted in Canada. so you cannot live in Canada with 2 wives...some people will lie in the application to get their second or third wife into Canada but this is a criminal offense Incase, an applicant who has been involved in polygamous marriages or have been into conjugal relationships while in Canada or gives reasons to immigration officials to believe that he would be involved in such an act, the applicant can be denied an entry. The document has also stated various circumstances which immigration officers might face and how they must deal with it. According to spokesman Alykhan Velshi from the Immigration Minister’s office, the department is putting all the efforts to ensure that polygamy stays out of Canada. 3 Likes |

usmee:You only upload what you evaluated. I suggest getting married after AOR and then add your wife. This way your CRS score shouldn't be recalculated and she wouldn't need to write IELTS or evaluate her degree. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Echinedu1: If you check well.. I said Muslim Guy Saw below Online.. Canada: All forms of polygamy, and some informal multiple sexual relationships, are illegal under section 293 of the Criminal Code.Bigamy is banned by section 290. However, for a long time, the law banning polygamy has not been efficient. The guy i said got PR with his 2 wives may have found a way around it knowing fully well the law has not been efficient. 2 Likes |

Hello senior colleagues, glad to be here. Please I need answers to this question. I want to ask if a PGD from National open university (NOUN), is acceptable in Canada. Has anyone used it before? Which organization evaluates it as 2 or more certificates with my Bachelors degree? As I'm looking for how to claim 2 or more certificates in my profile. Thanks in advance. |

Thank you bruv, however I did my Bachelors degree in Nigeria, do you think it will be a problem since I didn't evaluate it more provide it as part of educational documents bearing in mind that I only used my highest level of education which is MSc in the UK. Stencil: |

Hello All. I Just want to be sure that I picked the right NOC for my job role. I'm a chartered accountant with a bachelor's degree but my job responsibilities align more with NOC 1311 than NOC 1111. Hope this wouldn't be an issue as the minimum qualification for NOC 1311 is lower( high school degree). Please see responsibilities as stated on my reference letter. • 2 Likes |

Not evaluating your Nigerian degree is not a problem. However, you may include a scanned copy of your Nigerian degree in your application even if you evaluated only your UK MSc. I did same and I already have PPR. usmee: 4 Likes |

jancollins: The inability to enforce the law is for people who live in Canada, not for foreigners. There's no way a visa officer will see that an applicant has two wives and will approve their application. Unless the man used jazz to blind them. It is a criminal act and it's not something that I believe will be waived under normal circumstances. This story you read is most likely false 3 Likes |

kniru:I don't believe we have common law partnership under the law in Nigeria. I maybe wrong but I think the law only recognizes traditional and Court/Chruch/Mosque wedding. If that's the case, it's not something you can prove. Someone that knows more about this should add their voice though |

It depends if it’s a document that can get your application canceled during R10(completeness check) which occurs before biometric. Erigo23: 1 Like |

Good Morning all when i tracked my transcript, it showed its been delivered since 13/01/2020 but WES has not updated my dashboard to state if they have received anything. they are expecting 4 documents from me, however, this it the first of four should i just wait it out or i should be worried WES doesn't have my document |
