God is not a God of confusion, but a merciful God.
There were times in the scripture, when God wanted to execute judgement, but after much pleading by men, he repented of his planned action. Examples:

A. When he wanted to wipe out the children of Israel, after the Exodus from Egypt, because they provoked him, but did not do this because Moses interceded on their behalf.

B. In the book of Kings, he fotold of King Hezekiah's death through his Prophet, but later added 15 years to his life, after the King wept and pleaded with him through prayers.
this is a case of two individuals, not one person, so assuming both ihedioha and hope came to meet him, who would have the prophecy favored?
So because hope visited him, he automatically becomes a winner of an election he came 4th,

I do not like the outcome that Hope Uzodinma unseated Ihedioha but that shouldn't make me become blind and irrational. I is normal to seek God's mercy and intervention when given bad prophecies like that. It happened many times in the Bible.

Then, his choice will be made depending on what purpose he has for the person. He blesses whom he chooses to bless. Moreover, they say it is whom it is of utmost important that seeks the face of God.

Who said he might not have chosen Hope against Ihedioha or are they not humans like Jacob and Esaw ? His choice exactly what I answered you earlier. He makes his choice when you two have same level ground before Him based on purpose He wishes to achieve.

Esaw wasn't God's foe in the womb you know.

Pride is evil. It can bring a man down I'm seconds. Ihedioha felt too big to meet Mbaka. If it was Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu or Dave of Ebonyi, they will rush to adoration immidiately and seek divine intervention.
An average mbaise man is very arrogant.

I pity for ihedioha but when I remember his proud nature, I feel like telling him to go to hell.

I pity more for my close associates that lost their jobs because of the recent incident. God will provide you better Jobs in Jesus name.
