GamalNasser:
Agusta 109 has was never designed or designated to be an attack helicopter , it s designed as a light weight transport helicopter so for the Nigerian airforce to want to use it as a primary attack helicopter shows the level of unseriousness of the Buhari govt , JONATHAN purchased 4 Mi24 Hinds which are real attack helicopters with troop transport capabilities .. see below what the entry level Agusta attack helicopter the AW 129 Mangusta looks like and tell me is that thing above looks attackish in anyway and I am sure the corrupt govt bought it more expensive than a real attack Helicopter.

...In 1976, deliveries of production A109 to customers began. Advantages over the then-market leading Bell 206 were the A109's superior speed, twin-engine redundancy, and greater seating capacity.[3] In 1975, Agusta returned to the possibility of a military version, thus a series of trials were carried out between 1976 and 1977 using a total of five A109As outfitted with Hughes Aircraft-built TOW missiles. Two military versions emerged from this program, one was intended for light attack/close support missions and the other for shipboard operations.[7] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW109

Get your facts right before passing your information
Agusta 109 is an attack helicopter can can be used for combat, the MI 35 helicopter is an helicopter gunship which is bigger and have more fire power,so don't say the Agusta helicopter doesn't look attacking in anyway
Don't miss inform the public, there are different grades level attack helicopter just like u have in fighter jets
Agusta 109 attack helicopter picture below

You know when someone had stayed too long reading comics and magazines......

I don't have time to argue with people who can't even tell the difference between a combat helicopter and an attack helicopter ..Besides that helicopter I see there is not the AW 109M which is the repurposed version for military use ..Go and learn the diff between an attack Helicopter and a combat helicopter ...Oga forget it I am an authority in anything that flies

1. I do not claim to be an authority in military helicopters, but what I do know is when someone makes arguments that betrays sense like yours, it's not worth any value
2. The report in itself is not about a debate between combat and attack helicopters, if that was even ever necessary.
3. Common sense suggests the military will make acquisition of different hardware for different purposes. I am wondering why AW109M exists in military hardware options for war strategy execution, I mean we can take your "authority" arguments that suggest that AW109M is less useful in military expedition, much more in our campaign against Boko Haram. Added to that, you know there is no internet and google, as such it is difficult to access information in public domain, so we had to bow to your "authority" shey?
4. I will want to agree with you that you are an "authority" in anything that flies, but you've done a a terrible job in proving it here....

Read an article about how super powers watch developing countries Foreign Reserve grow, flatter them as Free Markets meaning they can get highest returns for their money because of propped up interest rate and the ease they can take out short-term Investments.

As the reserve grow, the easiest way these so called Foreign Portfolio Investors can wipe it out is to sell them used ordinary helicopters or jets to fight one another.

Boom! All foreign reserves wiped out.

However, even if we lack local expertize after Independence, i.e over 60 years, why can't we buy used ones, break it down like Chinese did with Russian jets and rebuild them better giving us insights to build ours like Iran?

Military experts, please educate us abeg.
