Crossing water is not all that goes into a good bridge, the approach and landing points will involves kilometres of work. Look at the TMB in Lagos, the road works started from Osborne road in Ikoyi and on the mainland as far as Ogudu.
People can easily see the difference in reasoning here compared to that Ebenezar2020 that has refused to grow up.

It is surprising that it is taking ages to complete a bridge of this short distance.

It's not the length of the bridge that's posing the problem. The main problem is building an ancillary expressway that connects to the bridge on both the Onitsha and Asaba axis. That's where the koko is..

Too much talk no substance. Even with the audio industries your people keep running to Rivers State in millions.
Even with the audio industries, Rivers State IGR is still 10 times that of Anambra. Empty chest beaters..

That is why I have no concern with their amotekun nonsense.

Because I am sure if it was a South east project, 90% of the Yoruba on nairaland would join the north in condemning it.

They are pro north except when it affects them.
That is good politics though.

It would be bad politics on the rest of the south if they now follow the south west.

What has buhari done ?

He is doing the bridge that your lord Goatluck Jonaddaft commissioned on drawing board. He (Buhari) has commissioned and opened for use the bandoned Zik Mausoleum which your PDP could not do for years. He is building and reconstructing roads in your Biafraland that were abandoned by your lord Goatluck Jonathan

What has your PMB got to do with it? Is it his money? Are the people of Anambra not Nigerians and tax payers? The government of the state and the people are developing it and not PMB. If PMB repaired or built federal bridges why should the people applaud him for doing his job? I don't even know why I am responding to you, because you are one of those average Nigerian that don't know there right
Re: Aerial Photos Of Ogbaru, Onitsha From Second Niger Bridge Site by majamajic(m): 4:17pm On Jan 20, 2020
why is everyone talking as if buhari developed onitsha for us ?

federal government is just building a 1.7km bridge for goodness sake ,

Re: Aerial Photos Of Ogbaru, Onitsha From Second Niger Bridge Site by oglalasioux(m): 4:21pm On Jan 20, 2020
OP, if you cross the bridge from Asaba, your left side which comprises Ochanja and Kara are part of Ogbaru. I don't know who told you you can only see Ogbaru from the new bridge. As if seeing Ogbaru is now a favour from the APC government.

Which bridge? That was how the bridge was since goodluck left, commissioned zik mausoleum ? Was he the one that built it?

He is reconstructing roads which roads? He should be constructing rail tracks like he is doing in the north and southwest not roads

He has done noting in the south east so shut up

It’s crazy though!!!

We are celebrating an uncompleted bridge that is less than 10kms in total length.
While the symbolism of the bridge can not be overemphasized, I don’t think it’s work any pomp and pageantry!

the length of the bridge is 1.6km sir.

just 1.6km a distance any man can trek under 20minutes and cars can driver thru it under 1.2mins at 30km per hour.

Did pmb start the project or is the project being done with his money.
