Amotekun Has Come To Stay- Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi by queenolofofo(f): 5:55pm On Jan 20, 2020
The above statement was credited to Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Olamilekan Adeola (popularly known as YAYI) on This Day news report on Sunday, January 19th, 2020.
According to him, “the establishment of state police is the only acceptable way to stop ‘Amotekun’ and other similar bodies already in operation and others in the offings following security challenges plaguing various parts of the nation.
”This brings to the fore the urgent need for the National Assembly to revisit the issue of amending the constitution to further create rooms for the creation of state police. The idea was mooted in the Eighth Assembly but a lot of forces worked against its passage then.”
The popular Lagos Senator made his views known calling on his Colleagues from the South West and beyond to come out of their shells and support the South West’s Agenda for a unified security outfit irrespective of party lines and affiliations.
“I have made my views known, let other legislators of South West do same and State Legislators from the South West do the needful” Yayi challenged his colleagues from the central government and federating units.

To those of you waiting on the position of Tinubu on the Amotekun. Here you have it. This is him talking through the proxies. Yoruba have made the decision and there is no going back on it. Amotekun is here to stay. Call it secessonist agenda, we wouldn't care so long it is a movement geared towards securing our territory against unscrupulous intruders. The idea is welcome regardless of the threats from mischievous cry cry born to rule people. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!

Which constitution? Nigerian project has expired. Until we come to the table and renegotiate, that document is decoration. How can military write constitution for a whole country. Whose constitution and who agreed to it? It’s only been convenient to steal but now that loss of life is involved in the stealing people are beginning to act rightly.

There was never any constitution that Nigerians agreed to as a people. Colonialist and military men cannot write valid constitutions for us as you can see clearly.

I didn't know the Nigerian project has ended, since when? I thought MNK was a 'fraud' for saying the same thing according to yorubas? Tell me more.

This is where Yoruba is different.

On issues of differences in our ways of life and our stake in the national affairs our politicians and leaders always step forward and give support. They speak and join voice with the Yoruba cause, however confrontational it is. .

I love Yoruba leaders. If Amotekun comes before legislature we have people to count on for support, even if they are in minority.

Stop lamenting Yoruba and give energy to calling this to your political leaders attention. They need to support Ibo cause even if it leads to controversy. At every opportunity you like to mention what Kanu said or didnt say.

Kanu was talking to his people and you neglected and abandoned him. Even your governors sold him out to python. Not good. Focus on your leadership giving support to Ibo has Yayi has just demonstrated with Amotekun.

When he wanted vote for Buhari did he talk through his proxies?

Amend this your post, it is not helpful to Tinubu. People will say he is condescending on matters important to Yoruba.

Neglected and abandoned MNK in prison like you abandoned MKO to die in prison? Dele Giwa? Kudirat?

You will continue to hear Kanu's name in issues like this because he is the pioneer of the path you now want to follow in modern Nigeria, after condenming same bitterly because of your jealousy and hate.

You will not be allowed to approbate and reprobate whenever it suits you, without paying through your nose.
