please how did you convert your pof to dollars?
Ensure that the dollar from BDC is transferred to your Dorm Account. Not sure you can pay in USD over the counter.

Thanks for your response, we currently both live in Nigeria but plan to relocate together, do i need to provide any legal document as applicable in Nigerian law?

It's not about living in Nigeria.. do you live together ? do you have investments together ? are your bank accounts showing same address? the onus is on you to prove that live like couples.

All the best.

Awww Godbless you dear I really appreciate your time n effort. Why I said I will use single is because I have done traditional marriagen white wedding but we haven't done court wedding plus hubby does not really stay in d country, we hv 2 kids so I told him I will use single cos they might ask for marriage certificate...
Stencil:
I'm going to focus on Express Entry when answering your questions.

1. You get max points for 3 years.
2. Not really relevant to EE points
3. You're not single if you have a "hubby". Spouse unaccompanied is what you'd apply as.
4. Proof of funds would be for 4 people. "Hubby" is a part of the family, POF is for the entire family, accompanying/un-accompanying.

With the information you provided, you have a CRS Score of 447 [IELTS - 8777 - LRWS].
This can be improved in several ways. Please play around with the CRS tool.
If you're good with languages, you can try French. With CLB 7, your scores should go up to 487. Please click here to visit the TEF thread.

Please do your due diligence and verify the information provided. I wish you all the best!

Documents needed to prove our common law relationship can include:
Letters showing same address (bills, bank statements etc)
Lease agreements
Joint bank account statements
Drivers license showing same address
Proof of relationship - Pictures, Flight tickets, Hotel bills etc

Advice:
Proving a common law relationship is sometimes quite tasking. Another option would be to either get married in court (nothing fancy) and apply together OR apply single and get married post AOR (CRS score is unaffected).
If applying as married lowers your score then you might want to wait until after AOR to add them to your application. If they boost your score, go on and have your PPR wedding!

kniru:
Hello friends,
Please how does the common law partner works, how do I prove my GF is a common law partner.
Thanks

The rest of your educational history goes to personal history post ITA, so you aren't omitting anything.
Only include documents that you evaluated, in this case, your MSc.

usmee:
Thank you bruv, however I did my Bachelors degree in Nigeria, do you think it will be a problem since I didn't evaluate it more provide it as part of educational documents bearing in mind that I only used my highest level of education which is MSc in the UK.

Hello all....I have been privileged to read the thread. Although, I just started my application.
The challenge I have now is that I have paid for Wes and also my transcript online..(University of Lagos).
Having done that, I dont know the way to go about it...Please I need your help if you have sent your transcript to Wes from the University of Lagos...My questions are

1. Did you submit anything to the school after payment online?
2. Are we to wait for the process online?
3. If you submitted any docs to the school , what are the docs?
4. What did you do to make the process of Evaluation faster..

Thanks for your response.....

Please do WES evaluate online degrees or distance learning? I did my M.sc in Nigeria but the awarding institutions is an online school that claims presence in the US. In 2016 when I was going through this program, they were accredited by ASIC (Accreditation for school and colleges), UK. Recently i discovered this school have been removed from the ASIC website. I am having a second thought sending this certificate for evaluation. Please what are the chances.

Better to deposit cash. I refer to the case of a landed immigrant that had issues with the law because of the USD transferred into his account. I read it here on NL.
Aboki can always pay cash into your domiciliary account if you are not sure of the origin of the fcy.

Thank you for your response. Do you recommend that I apply as single until I sort it out or hold the whole process before I do? We don’t live in our home country so it will take a while.

1. Nope
2. Yes. However, UNILAG is very slow in responding to transcript requests so I think you should start going to the transcript office if you don't see movement after 6 weeks.
4. Find someone who can make UNILAG go faster. UNILAG will respond to WES twice on your matter. The first time is when you request for them to send the transcript to WES. The second time is when WES asks them to verify that they're the ones that sent the transcript. The first time can take 8 weeks. Mine took 10 weeks. The second time can take 8 weeks as well. Mine took 12 weeks. So if you know somebody find a way...
