Alright bro. Still working on the family friend application, Applied almost 2 months ago but he just got a full teaching licence to teach in UK yesterday which makes it easier for school to sponsor the tier2 visa. But still hopeful it'll be sooner than later.

Thank you everyone on this thread. I'm truly learning a lot.

Ogas in the house, thank you.
I have read the thread from page 1-the last page.

Please just a quick question.

My wife is a Nurse, she is currently preparing for her OET in other to be registered as a nurse in the UK.

I'm a Mathematics teacher in the Junior Secondary with TRCN. B.Ed Mathematics.

I have interest in Data Science, hence I'm currently doing a part time program on Python programming.

Reading through advice and comments here,
I want to ask please can I start my journey with UKNaric here or wait till I get to UK as my wife's dependent.

Can I pursue a certification in Data Science while doing teaching Job.

The gurus in the house please advice a brother.

You do the maths yourself sir:

If you know in your heart that you won’t fight with your wife when she comes here and because she doesn’t want to do all she used to do in Nigeria, then you can come under her. It’s cost efficient and very flexible.
You just sit in your house and be applying for jobs while learning one or two courses in Udemy- no pressure.

If you know you will vex and fight with your wife and consider divorce, better close your eyes and spend the money and be on your own o (luckily it’s on the shortage list) so we won’t hear stories that touch the heart.

I'm quite new on this thread.
Please I want to ask, if I have TRCN, Do I still have to go through the PGCE course in the UK before being recognized as a qualified teacher?

I also want to know if I will have to send my TRCN certificate to be assessed along with other credentials by UKnaric

Lastly, is it possible to secure a teaching job from Nigeria without TRCN?

Hello house
I intend going to Scotland for my master which is 2years with placement. With the new system of post study work, can I get a job as a business and financial Manager after my Masters, also can I easily switch to Tier 2 Visa if I decide to stay there after the 2years post study work.
Thanks

Please I am not an agency or recruitment company. I am just willing to provide some helpful information for people on this forum and will never do any message via pm. I have put all the necessary information here for others to adhere to. If you have any question, kindly mention me .

Kindly follow the guidelines and May God bless our Hustle.

Nigeria is not yet on the list so it's making it difficult for registered TRCN from Nigeria to apply.

Thank you for this straight forward advice.
I won't be African in marriage on the UK soil I have never been even here in Nigeria even as a banker back then.

So make I just relax and follow her.

Plus, a friend of mine who is in the UK said it's so hard over there especially.

If I have survived Nigeria especially the last four years I can comfortably survive in Hell fire.

[quote author=STENON post=85925476] Its still one of the highest paying jobs in UK.

Mentioning one of the Highest paying jobs doesn't mean top 10 or 20 as some have been posting it here. One of the highest can be top 30 or whatever .
My sister English is there problem, just overlook them

If you are a family man or woman and your spouse has teaching qualifications, experiences or TRCN... apply for admission for yourself and look for money to pay half tuition and move over.
Let your spouse be your dependant to be eligible for full time job position and when they come over here... they get the necessary teaching licence and start working as a teacher which makes it easier to pay your full tuition fees plus a saving grace for your spouse to get tier 2 visa sponsorship so you can apply as the dependant after your studies .

Forget all those other top jobs with highest pay, it's difficult to get such here. Nobody cares about your overseas qualification if you don't do another Professional examination, training or no UK experience to get their licence.

So many Engineering graduates, biochemist, bank managers from Nigeria working as a sales boy/girl, cleaner, carer or support worker in UK.

But with Teaching, you are good to live a comfy life in UK wink
