Do you have a Canadian visa already ?

Well, will just wait to see the response to this your question in order to be sure I was not just assuming. He seemed to have attempted to pull a fast one with the Canada twist to the application coupled with a very minute account balance. How was that going to fly? Dunno

it means the decision-maker has concluded that the application contains serious problems. Since italy gave that reason after 2 visits then , you should have cleared it out with them before going off to another embassy. Visa shopping doesnt look good.
Give them some space, there are 195 countries in the world. Visit some other places.... come back in some months.....

If you have some business deals in the schengen area then you can give it a shot....

Tourism (Information submitted justifying the purpose and condition for the Intended stay not reliable) that was the only reason given. thanks

Good evening everyone please I need to know how to fix this issue. What does it mean when this is written on your refusal letter and what do you need to do to improve your chances.

Please what does it mean when the embassy says

1. Justification for the purpose and condition of the intended stay was not provided.

2. Your intention to leave the territory of the member states before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained.

My colleague that applied with me also got the same refusal and he has a balance of 4m. What would have been the cause for rejection. So obviously it wasn't the balance, what do you think ?

And that could be read by a visa Officer as an attempt to game him/her. Add that to the "meagre" 200k balance, the sum) total will be that you were joking na. Even with a Canada visa on that passport, it still would have been tight, definitely a disastrous result without such visa.

We actually plan to proceed with the Canada visa application after the Europe has been issued. We plan on visiting Europe and also attend our event in Canada. It was an intentional act and not to play a fast one on the consular. So we felt since our first visit will be Europe it’s best to get their visa first then apply for Canada.

Guess it was misinterpreted. Based on your experience what do you advise in such situation

I submitted my visit visa application on the 1st of Aug in Lagos and got an sms from VFS on the night of 23rd of Aug that my passport is ready for collection, which was on a firday. I picked it on the 26th of Aug (Monday). Was granted 1 month visit visa.

Document Submitted

* Dully filled visa form
* 2 weeks Travel Insurance
* Self introduction letter
* Hotel & Flight reservation
* Letter of employment + promotion letters
* Letter of introduction from employer
* 3 months pay slip
* Bank statement of account (Bal. 1.941M) with good inflow and outflow. + Reference letter from the bank
* Pension statement of account
* Copy of Tax card
* Marriage certificate.
* Copy of birth certificate of my children (Didn't apply for their visa)
* Copy of South African Visa (Not yet used)

The itinerary i submitted on my application was Lagos to Johannesburg, Johannesburg to Paris, Paris to Lagos. But couldn't make my trip to South Africa due to all the troubles they are making. Hello everyone , I’ve been a silent reader on this platform . I get all my visa processing information/details here on Nairaland. Myself , my husband and my 2 kids submitted our France application last week Wednesday (15th of January) and got delivery of our stamped passport with 3 months visa multiple entry via ups yesterday afternoon . Thanks y’all for doing a wonderful job and taking out time to respond to all enquiries (although I didn’t ask any question as I got all the information I needed reading from the 1st page ).
Timeline for processing was 5 working days .

I didn't exactly get this part of your question.

Anyway, you can only apply for a visa with a valid international passport. Other documents you may need to support your application include

-Travel insurance
-Hotel booking in France
*Flight booking to France
-Copy of your employment letter and certificate of incorporation
**Three months bank statements and payslips
-Introduction letter from your employer
-Any other document such as marriage certificate, tax clearance papers, Property documents etc.

*Since you want to go to turkey and France, you should book Turkish airlines and indicate the number of days you want to stay in Turkey before proceeding to France. (Note Turkish airlines flies from Lagos to Instanbul and then to Paris) check their website here https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-int/index.html?

**Do you realistically think the amount you mention can cater for you for the whole trip? Maybe you should consider checking ticket and hotels prices first.

Bonus point: The France visa application center in Lagos will henceforth accept only POS as mode of payment.
