Whoever depends Kepa should have his head checked, against Newcastle one attempt one goal, against Arsenal 2 shot on targets 2 goals. Maybe his work is just to kick out goal kicks which he isn't even good at.

In our weekly LiVARpool moment this was what we found

Before the penalty was taken, both keepers legs were off the line

Any idea why VAR did not order this penalty retaken

This Rudiger agent is back. So after Christmas fixtures, were Chelsea outside of top 6 or at relegation zone?. Oh Christmas never finished in your village. grin

Willian, Odoi, Pulisic, should go and study how Hazard meandered through bus parkers, while with us. Our last two matches showed we missed Hazard's creativity in front.

They should be more daring in attack, as the defence looks beyond repair. We should plan to outscore opponents now.

That second touch from Martinelli was too heavy. Na wetin confuse Kante. He was expecting Martinelli to run at him. Maybe he wasn't expecting an easy loose ball that he could intercept at that stage of the counter.

No, you got it wrong.

He slipped because he was about to take the wrong decision and go after Pepe rather than Martinelli. When Martinelli miscontrolled, he then tried to change direction abruptly to face Martinelli again and fell over.

Why it's an error is because of poor communication with Emerson and poor visual awareness.

In such a situation, Emerson is better placed to track Pepe while he face Martinelli. Emerson had some chance of catching Pepe but no chance of catching Martinelli so it is up to Kante to recognise Martinelli as the greater threat. At worst he can place himself partly in-between but more veered toward Martinelli who is the greater threat.

Instead he put his whole body in the direction of Pepe, then tried to change direction when his brain has not fully processed the first instruction. His brain is saying one thing, and his body is doing another thing. That's network problem.

I didnt watch yesterday's match. Had to catch up with the highlights this morning. But i dont see why Kepa is being fried.

Yes, i know he can be terrible, but the two goals(from the 2 shots on target) were not his fault, and most keepers can do nothing about it

Someone is blaming Kepa for coming out in the first goal. Like seriously?

And for the second goal, Bellerin was given enough space and less pressure to take that shot. I cant remember who was standing there, but he ought to be on Bellerin, not looking while he prepares for the shot.

Maybe i'm wrong, but those goals scored has nothing to do with Kepa

Our problem with Kepa is not that he didn't save those shots but that he almost NEVER saves those shots. A reasonable keeper may be expected to save certain shots every now and then but not Kepa.

When you look at the shot in isolation, you would say the keeper only has 30% chance of saving it and won't blame him for missing the save, but when you have a volume of shots, you expect the keeper to save 30% of them while Kepa will only save 10% of them.

Add to the fact he makes regular mistakes so he has no Goodwill in the first place.

Besides, a taller keeper would likely save that 2nd goal. Kepa is too short!

You nailed it. More like they are always scared to attempt penetration in the opponent's box.

The bolded justifies the chants. grin

But with what i read here yesterday, i was thinking he did commit much blunders. And i dont know why Lampard isnt making that position competitive. There was a time Liverpool was benching Mignolet for Kyrian. Make Kepa dey chop bench sef

And from what i watched, Chelsea still needs to leartn how to finish off a game. The red card came early, but most of the highlights(If not all) were from crosses and looking for headers. It made it very difficult to get a goal too.

Watch the replay of the second goal again. Kepa positioned himself behind one of his defenders, any reasonable keeper will always want to have a clear view of the ball round their penalty box.

He’s not that tall so he need to make up for it with good positioning which he lack.

The premier league said in August that they will not use VAR to review keeper movement on penalty kicks. This was after the furor generated at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

So VAR did not see the keeper leave his line, the linesman here also did not see it

This is the FA job to ensure LiVARpool win

Of course, the FA also ruled out Aguero's goal to ensure Liverpool would win the league.
Instead make una calm down wait for next season to see how pep reacts, it's making noise and blaming FA everyday as if say Na them dey field.

Instead of you to explain why the linesman and VAR all missed this blatant keeper step out of the line you are deflecting. Is it until Henderson goes to tackle the penalty taker before it becomes a crime?

Below are some comments during the LiVARpool vs Man Utd game last Sunday

I am sure you will say they all have agendas. The refs were employed by the FA to do their bidding. Ensure LiVARpool wins by hook or by crook
