His more concerned about building fly over were figures can be doctored to suit their pockets, civil servants salaries and welfare doesn't benefit politicians so they'd care less except for political eye service.

I don't know what Civil servants did to Gov. Wike. This governor hate Civil servants so much so that he cannot do anything that will favour civil servants in the State if it is not for politics. Yet some people will be calling him "our darling governor".
Honestly, it baffles me to see human being behave that way. You know what? Some persons even if Wike kills their parent, they will still be sycophants and praise him for doing so. We are all animals of same species but the variation is astronomically high.

The news this morning on 9ja info at 7am says that Beatrice Itubo denied any agreement with the state government on the minimum wage. According to her the state government wanted to ambush the labour as well as distort the mobilization for a strike action slated for next week. Finally, she said they are yet to agree with the state government on the percentage and the months of arrears to be paid let alone signing any agreement. Hence, the strike may commence by next week as planned. Truly, Wike is really wicked.

You announced the approval of payment of minimum wage when you have not reached any agreement with workers because you don't take advice from people. You did it just to stop strike by workers in the state by 31st January and you think you are dealing with kids.Labour told you that the arrears of the minimum wage from April 2019 be signed and the month to start the payment. You said you will not pay the arrears that it will be too high for you to pay.Is the money your personal money?is it not state money? You went ahead to say you graciously approved the payment of minimum wage as if it is not the law that says you should pay.How can you approve the payment out of grace? Are you God? Some state pay their workers 13 months but you could not even with the huge resources we have.No body will blame you people, we are blaming the toothless labour leaders we have that doesn't talk.

They will not talk on how to improve the welfare of this their registered and qualified teachers. Many have stayed for 13 years no promotion, minimum wage has not been implemented, they are all after the money they will make through diet or protein exam, payment of certificate, and registration. With all these their statement one will think that they care about the future of education system in the country, but that is lie. I still maintain that they are all after they money they will make.

It has been shared since on 16th January, 2020 (about 5 days now ) and has also been posted here since on that day. All we are waiting for is the payment from tomorrow, to know whether the adjusted minimum wage increment will follow. https://tribuneonlineng.com/faac-shares-n716-298bn-for-december-2019-to-fg-states-lgs/

From what I understand, our state government has approved the payment of the new minimum wage but didn't specify the date its implementation will begin. This means we are not even sure if it will come with this January salary.
No mention was made of the minimum wage arrears, could it be that it is still under negotiation with our state labour?

Rivers state quote is wrong, unless it's their former gross, where 8/3 has about #4000 difference due to about two thousand naira increase per a step, making it about #4,000 for the two step difference.

Finally, the Rivers State contributory health insurance bill has been passed into law yesterday by RSHA. Another compulsory deduction again from our salary. God help us from this unfriendly government of the day.

NEWSRSHA Passes Public Finance, Accounts, Health Insurance BillsPublished 3 hours ago on January 24, 2020 By Kevin Nengia

Three prominent bills, which public hearings were conducted, last year, have been passed into law by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
With the passage of the bills, yesterday, the proposed Rivers State Future Assured Fund will soon come on stream.
Also, the Rivers State Contributory Health Insurance Bill will pave way for a voluntary health insurance scheme for those in public and private sectors.
The Public Accounts Bill is aimed at repealing the old audit system with a more efficient and modern audit method that’s transparent and accountable.
After being given a third reading, they are billed to be sent to the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for assent, soon.
The legislators had on resuming plenary, last Tuesday, commenced debate on the three bills.
Leading the debate, Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Martin Amaewhule stated that the Public Finance Management and Control Bill 2019 was in line with Section 1(f) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
Part of the argument was hinged on saving for the rainy day.
“The bill is saying let us not spend all we have but to save for the rainy day”, Amaewhule submitted.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani said the State Finance and Control Management Bill put the state at an advantage.
“Prosperity does not come by wish but by what we have been able to save for the future”, he added.
On the Public Accounts Bill, many of the lawmakers while commending the committee report, said time has come to put in place a more efficient audit system that makes government spending open and transparent.
Lending further voice to the arguments of the lawmakers, Ibani stressed, “this bill is multidimensional but the major focus is to ensure that public funds are well-managed and transparently.”
The final debate on the Violence Against Persons (VAP) Prohibition Bill was deferred to the next sitting of the House.
However, the final committee report of the VAP bill had been submitted for consideration by the House.

Re: Rivers State Teachers Recruitment 2012 by Chibuking81(m): 9:13am On Jan 24, 2020
It's a voluntary health insurance scheme for those in public and private sectors. Governor is yet to assent to it. It's not compulsory, we should be vigilant in filling any form from the ministry or board. To avoid filling voluntary form in the name of compulsory form, to prevent another unnecessary deduction like contributing pension we filled, which they have started deducting for years now without government remitting their own part of contribution, and there is no any hope of individual accessing his or her own if he or she want.

Some of our colleague didn't filled contributing pension form, till today no deduction is made in their salary, they are still receiving their full normal net salary, this show that contributing pension is also voluntary, and if I can see any way to stop my own, I will willingly do it.
