M & S EPISODE 25 EPISODE TITLE- The God I Serve Is A Fàggot "I didn't do it..."Lily retorted stepping from the door, heart hammering from the noise outside..... "I heard you talked about taking care of the thrash..."Janet mutter with quivering lips... "I said am leaving the thrash..., you heard wrong..."Lily whined infuriated "No Lily, i didn't hear wrong, i heard you correctly, you said take care of the thrash.." "And am telling you you heard wrong..., that was a house agent i spoke to..., he asked me why i needed an apartment, and i told him I'm leaving the thrash..." "So you saying the thrash is Tony...?"Janet asked curiously... "Yes...." Janet exhale sharply as her stomach went icy from the chaotic noise outside, she didn't believe but she didn't want to press on with the question...., she just pray they survive tonight... "So what is it about the gay cult you were talking about...?"Lily queried folding her hands across her chest.. Janet grunt...."Daisy told me.." "So Tony is a member or the founder...?" "I don't know..."Janet replied crisply still smouldering in her fearful look..... "So this cult wants me..?" "Yeah.., they think you're responsible for what happened to Adam..." "But am not.." Janet drool her eyes at her ..."They think you are..." "It doesn't make any sense.., why would they think i did it...?" A cold wave embalmed Janet as she heard a clanking sound on the window, hairs rose on the back of her neck and her mouth ran dry..., she quickly signal Lily to be quiet and crunched down...... "Do you really think this could be the gay cult...?"Lily whisper crunching low beside Janet.. Janet swallow heavily and turn to look at her face..."Did you do it..?" "Do what..?" "Adam.." "No..., why do you keep asking me that, you think I'll do a thing like that...?" "You were angry Lily.., and you confessed to it..." "I didn't do it.." "Are you sure..?" "What do you mean if am sure, you don't think i would know if i did something like that..." "You were angry Lily.." "Yes i was, but I'll never let my anger make me do something like that..." Janet sigh, her head brimmed with skepticism..."What did you tell the house agent..?" "What has the house agent got to do with this...?" "Did you tell him about Adam...?" "No...."Lily mutter sharply.... "But you told him you were leaving the thrash, what if you told him something else.." "Janet stop.., i would know if i said something else..." "What if you don't remenber you said something else.." "That's ridiculous...." "You were angry Lily..." "So you saying my anger jostled up my memory....?"Lily returned irritated Janet shrugged.."It could be.., we do things we don't remenber when we're angry.." Janet froze to the spot when the clanking sound from the window came again, then a tormenting laughter...., fear held her captive, taking control of her entire being as shadows and echoes play on her senses warping into shapes and sounds..... ********************* Daisy stood at the door for a couple seconds, her stomach churning, her eyes closed. She wanted to be suddenly small and to crawl into someone’s lap to ease the fear lingering inside her, threatening to tear her apart..., the cold prick her skin and she let out a nippy breathe before letting her hands to knock on the door...., despite Simon's presence, she was scared, hardly breathing as her knuckles ring a loud knock on the door again... Her mind brood over the boys they saw on their way to Janet's house crippling her foreboding terror.., Hot wet fluid dribble down her legs, a bastion of warm comfort in a moment of primal terror.... "Are you sure he's in...?"Simon ask from behind her.. She look back at him, her night hero in fearful armour....."I don't know.."She whimper..."I pray he's in.." She knocked again before screaming his name... Her breathe quickened with uneasiness as the door open... "What are you doing here...?"Tony asked still standing at the door post.. Daisy took a deep breathe to calm her panic...."We need your help" Tony glance at Simon before flicking his eyes to Daisy again..."We.., who is we..?" Daisy sigh, a feeling of dread creeping from the pit of her stomach...."Have your wife called you..?" "She hasn't spoken to me since the incident..." "She's in trouble..." "What kind of trouble...?" "I,i don't know but i think it's serious okay, some people are knocking at my friend's door, she said they're making all kind of noises and we think it's the cult.." "What cult...?" "The gay cult.."Daisy blare out....."And if we're right, we want you to call them off..." "They won't do that.." "You don't know that..." "I know them..." "Tony call them.., this is serious okay, if it wasn't, i wouldn't be knocking at your door this hour of the night..." "Okay..."He said with nibbed lips..."Let me get my phone..." "Okay..."Daisy mutter and watch him disappear into his room before she turn to face Simon....."Am scared.." "Don't be.."He stepped close to her...."You're a strong woman and a good friend..." "Am i really...?" A smile circled his lips before he spoke..."Yes..., you're a lovable person, everyone deserve you in their lives..." "Ohh, you're beginning to flatter me." "Am serious..." She force herself to smile back...."Thank you.." He drew closer and held her hand..."Everything will be fine.." She exhale sharply trying hard to believe his words...."I should call them..." "Yeah.."He mutter withdrawing his hands from hers... She heave a deep sigh of panic before dialling Janet's number...., her heart throbbing in her ears, she waited for her to answer.... "Hello..."Daisy blare out with pounding heart when the call connected... "Janet.."She called out with fear eating at her stomach.. "Hey..."Janet's low voice rumbled from the other end "Are you okay...?" The silence from the other end made Daisy's muscles tense... "Janet are you there..?"She boom out terror sucking the very breathe from her.. "Yeah..." Daisy took in a deep drag, rough and ragged...."Is everything okay...?" "I don't know."Janet said... "Are people still screaming..?" "Everywhere is quiet, we don't know if they're gone...." "Just stay put okay.., am at Tony's, if it's the gay cult, he'll call them off.." "Okay..." "How's Lily..?"Daisy asked with a cringe at Simon... "She's okay..." "Everything will be okay..." "Yeah.."Janet mutter "Alright I'll call you back in few minutes..."Daisy stated before ending the call... "They're not the ones causing the tumult..."Tony chimes in sliding in a t-shirt "Did you call them..?"Daisy asked with a glance at his change of clothes... "Well i won't know if i didn't..."Tony riposte Daisy grinded her teeth in Tony's rude reply..."Well do you believe them..?" "I do..." "Are you sure they aren't the ones..?" "Am sure okay, they think this whole upheaval is orchestrated by another cult..." "Another cult..., what cult..?" "They call themselves the night venom, turns out one of their member was killed yesterday evening..." "So what, they're retaliating by killing everyone in the streets and disturbing the peace of people behind closed doors...?" "Have you called my wife again...?" Daisy huff.."So now you care about her..?" "Have you..?"He groaned "Yes, i called a minute ago, they're fine..." "I need to get to her, did you come with a car...?" "Yeah we did, it's parked outside the gate..." "Okay, let's go..." "Go where..?" "To your friend's place, where my wife is..." "We can't just go there, dangerous armed men are there, we need backup from the police..." Tony scoffs..."You really think a Nigeria police will leave his place of duty at this time of the night to stop some street cult boys from rioting...?" "They're shooting bullets and burning things, so yes i think so..." "Okay.., can we leave now..." "To the station..?" "You can go to the station but am going to see my wife..." "You might get hurt.." "Then let me get hurt.."He fling back.. "Fine, come hop into the car..."Daisy said taking a walk outside without a second glance at Tony.. ********************** Daisy stare outside the windshield as the night rides in on a horse of pure midnight velvet, beckoned by the stars under a the glow of a full moon lighting a fire inside her guts, her mind was blur with possibility that the night will end well, each more fanciful than the next... "Can you call my wife again...?"Tony chimes into her thought from the backseat.. "No Tony..."Daisy chided "I want to talk to her.." "She doesn't want to talk to you.."She fling back with a cringe at him... "But i want to.." "Look, when you get there, you can tell her what you want, for now, we should worry about getting there without those boys stopping us.." "Just follow the route i showed you, i doubt they'll be there.."Tony said Daisy sigh..."I pray they aren't., cos i really need to get to my friends..." "I heard you're gay man..."Simon jump in....."That's not cool..." "Excuse me who are you...?"Tony queried "Daisy's friend, the one driving you to your wife.." "And who told you am gay..?" Simon nibbed.. "Tony please, not now.."Daisy interject.. "You told him.....?" "I had to explain to him why we were coming to ask for your help and why your wife is at Janet's place.." "So you told him am gay..?" "What you did to your wife isn't cool man.."Simon chimes in.. "Simon stop.."Daisy said "My problem with my wife isn't your damn business..."Tony retorted "I know.., but just so you know, what you did wasn't fair..."
