Hi All,

Good to be back here after a while, i have been in the prison of a busy life and lifestyle but i do remember that there is a lot of work to be done.

Canadian VISA, both educational and Visit is all we crave for around here and all that anyone up here wants to talk about, the easiest way we can solve our sojourn-al problems and the brightest decisions when we are at a crossroad. This has been a success as almost everyone does some from of help here and there.
I would want to talk bout something that almost doesn't get to be talked about vigorously.
-You want to travel, you want to travel for education to Canada, it is a solid decision and prospectively a bright one.
-How do you go about it? The most important phase of the entire process, from getting admitted/invited to going to the VFS for application, Fantastic!
-What is your application made up of? The Truth/Falsified? The bridge between Nigeria and Canada.

It worked for Mr A, It didn't work for MR B.
If you are as sincere as possible and it didn't work for you, No documentation that was not authentic, I congratulate your failure because you will be successful eventually.
If you gathered documents, or documents was gathered for you, I mean Mr A , and it scaled, it will definitely not work for MR B, and Mr A probably got a chase while in Canada, or was Directed Back to Nigeria at the POE, MR A will never visit CANADA again.
Lets put this side by side , Mr A who will never be in CANADA again or MR A who will have to reapply with all sincerity?
The sincere MR A wins all the time, and will make it easier for Several MR A coming behind, Than MR A who gets banned and makes a Stiffer and rigid screening for the Other MR As coming behind.

It is not a do or die, if you don't get to Canada, You may just be directed to a better opportunity else where.

Someone working at the Consulate once said "IF YOU SEE WETIN NIGERIANS DEY DO".... I didn't wait to hear the rest, The hustle is definitely suicidal and unnecessary.
Outside Nigeria, the way they treat us having the green passport is like an abomination, I was in a Flight that had just "ME" as the Nigerian, One Zambian, and 2 Congolese, and about 20 whites, The only person that got delayed was me, as soon as i handed my passport, wahala start, Calls upon Calls upon Calls.... HABA!!!

Sincerely our integrity is gone out there!

Good evening all. I am new here. Please, I seek some clarifications. This concerns our son, my stepson whose mother died before I married his father. He already got an admission to study at University of Manitoba and we are on the application for a study visa for him. My questions are
1. Since he is 16 years can I accompany him (actually, someone told us that it is possible)
2. What documents apart from marriage certificate and his late mum's death certificate do I need to submit with the application
3. We were told that we need a guardian for him in Canada, is this true?
4. Is passport collected with the submission of application for the visa and for how long?
Thanks in anticipation

What you need is a student visa. Read the first page on this link and you'll find many things explained
https://www.nairaland.com/4773130/canadian-student-visa-thread-part . Also read as many pages of this current thread as you can. Search for these profiles and read their posts. Read as much as you can : Frankrobbn1 , Qudkom, justmellow, makano, thesoj , naijaforeigner, mcobex

And to your questions about job and PR : yes and yes.

How about you try Germany first?

Lots of scholarship there, none in Canada if you ask me. (Unless you apply online, Your passport will be leaving you for a while)

Germany is a great place for Education and settling, Many don't know this.

Thanks for the contributions...I sent an email to the address yesterday,no response yet. What if the visa application doesn't go through (God forbid),no refund right?

Lastly, do you have any idea of what the cost of the application and agent fee will be?

There is no refund once visa is delayed except your agent agrees to that.

The sad part is, prices vary from one agent to the other and Fanshawe is doing nothing about it.

My suggestion, if you see any college with same program that allows you take full control of the admission process without the use of an agent, you should consider that.

P.s Fanshawe is a very good school. I just don't like the fact that students must go through an agent to secure admission. Agents will ask you for application (usually about $100), registration, administrative and other fees.

Honestly, as long as your reasons are justifiable, you’re good to go!

Wow, that's quite the coincidence! Thank you so, so much for the encouraging words.

Hello again, house

I have another question. I have completed an application for UNB. I plan to deposit the full 2-year tuition fees. Please, will this improve my chances of getting a visa, or will the VOs consider me desperate?

I have no issue with finances, and my mom is my sponsor. If you read my other post on this thread, you'll know I completed my BSC abroad (Malaysia).

His ID/international passport, bank statement to show he has enough funds to carter for your your studies and living expenses, his source of income (business registration or payslip/salary account from job), any assest (if he has) and anything to prove he is financially able to sponsor you without affecting his own personal lifestyle and that of his other dependants, a letter of support stating how much he will be putting towards your studies and why he wants to spend that much on you. Those are the basic

Paying your tuition fee to the school before applying for visa isn't a bad move, in fact it helps to clear any doubt on the vo's mind on your funds, but before you do that make sure you contact the school to know their refund policy (it is very important).

Hi,
1. When you say accompany what exactly do you mean? If it is to go with him on the trip, then Yes you can accompany him, however also bear in mind that if you are denied (hopefully not) he will have to go alone and you will have to pay for unaccompanied while he is travelling.
But if you mean to move and be with him, then that might be tricky.
2. All the documents necessary alongside what you mentioned I would believe.
3. Yes, he is underage. So he would need to have adult supervision so to speak. (So yeah, you have to find one).
4. Yes if it is paper application, and no if it is online application. Duration varies from 4 weeks to 14 months, with less of the latter though (given the trend i have seen here)

I do not know much, but thought to give my 2 cents.
I hope this helps.

Good luck!
