Governor Willie Obiano has assured of increased partnership with the Nigerian Army on road construction in the State.

Governor Obiano made the promise when he inspected construction works at ten roads/streets in Fegge, including Oraukwu, Silas, Elem, Akoko, Anekwe, among others, totalling 3.8 kilometers, promised to award ten more roads to the Army once they conclude the contract at hand.

Drainages, earthwork and asphalt had been concluded in most of the roads.

Governor Obiano commended the Nigerian Army Engineers for quality jobs, and urged people living the areas to help themselves and government by clearing the drainages, afterwhich the dirt will be evacuated by the State government.

Brigadier General Nash Yakubu, in charge of Nigerian Army Engineers assured that they will round off all roads by April.
