Getting a US work visa while you are in Nigeria is not easy to come by. You have to be a professional at the top of your field. More so, the firm in the US will only get you such document to process the visa if they can't find any other professional/expert with equal skills or expertise within the US, which is almost impossible. And this is America! The chances of getting H1B visa from Nigeria, in my opinion and based on experience, is very low. If you are in the US, this is nice. Even then Pres. Trump is changing the narrative; no organization in the US should hire a foreigner (not currently in the US) except the position and job cannot be filled and done by an American. As for link, I don't have any. The person that I know is one of the best in his field, and he is the type you would call a field pioneer. He has remarkable knowledge and skills, which is what separated him. But you can check google on the process and all. If this is what you intend to use to travel, consider Canada, but note that you must be a professional with considerable amount of experience in your field.
This is my opinion.

Thank you. There's a possibility of me getting a job though. The H - 1B visa is my main concern. Graduated 2018 and have 2+ years experience in my field. Have been to the US once, in 2012 on a 2yrs visa. Regardless, this is different from a H-1B visa and I have no prior knowledge of what it takes. Thanks alot.

While I pray you get a premium account, I’ll advise you set an average time for answering each question (Verbal is 1.5 while Quant is 1.75). This will certainly help you in your practice.

For instance if you want to answer just 5 questions on Quant, multiply 1.75 by 5...

Lastly, practice! Practice!! Practice!!! grin

I wish you God luck wink

Please I need clarification on a work visa that I applied for through an agent.
I applied for a work visa in Bahamas through an agent January last year.
It's more than a year now and the man keeps telling me that the Visa is not yet out but that it has been approved. Please I want to know if this is how it takes time to process.
He actually said it's a 2 year work permit Visa.

1. Was there travel history on the passport given to the VO?

2. Was deposit/tuition paid?

Asking this cos I am in a dilemma:

I have just be given a graduate admission by the University of San Francisco with $2,000 scholarship for fall semester and $1,500 for spring out of total tution of $21,000 for year 1.

Was actually hoping for a bigger scholarship amount, though contemplating to push forward with my visa application. My dad and employer are my potential sponsors to cover the huge tuition balance.

Wondering if this could fly

And don't if there is need to make aditional tuition payment/deposit before coming up for visa interview.

No travel history.

You can't talk about 'reality' and refuse to put out facts for those that ask to know more. The Canada you're talking about is very difficult these days.

Yes it's true that US is more tighter on visas and immigration than before. But students will still come in. Anyone that wants to know info on all these should Google it and you'll learn a lot by yourself.

You need to explain more the reason for your conclusion. Why is it hard? Have you graduated and have not been able to get a job? Etc

Those are the questions you need to answer before we can link your statement to reality.

Once a system gets tight... the the question should be asked is it worth going there especially If you are spending a lot of money and dont want to come home soon. ...... probably not for hard earned money

if it full or partial funding then no problem then maybe ok

The TA or RA definitely make things easier but it's not a free pass. You must also prepare yourself for the interview and prove that your are a legit student.

It better than looking back and saying it wasnt worth the effort.

I am not saying it is not worth the effort. I am not a student so I really dont know what currently on ground. But just do your research and ensure the waka is worth it . In some cases it might not be worth it so making an informed decision is key

For example in the UK, the removed post study aka OPT for some years . In such a case it was absolutely not really worth it schooling in the UK so anyone who went ahead knowing that at least went from an informed perspective

Goodday boss. Pls do you have any info on US work visa? Do you know of anyone who has successfully travel with a work visa after having employment letter from an American firm? Lastly pls any thread where I can get detailed info about it. Thanks

You are eligible for H1-b visa. Get an employer who's willing to sponsor you for the visa. The starting process for H1-b visa is Sponsorship job offer from a US Sponsor Company. I do know a few that have gone through the process.
