iaatmguy: Please does this also apply to license renewal? If I renew a license obtained some years back but which is now expired, does it start counting from date of renewal (which would be less than 2 years) or from date of initial issuance? |

Itzpearlz: It will count. If and only if you got a legit license number in the frsc database. They usually collect the license from you and send it for verification |

Date of first issuance Provided it was an "original" license in the first place. All the best Itzpearlz: |

NwanyiOkpa:https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled You have 1 year of experience already with your NYSC (I used NYSC, I taught, teaching is an acceptable NOC), go through that thread, the is a computer program peeps run for about 6 months, you can combine this with your B.Sc (2 or more degree) . Just help your self with that link, be your own agent, save yourself the cash, stress, and a possible misrepresentation. Good luck. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello everyone. Greetings my amiable seniors, feels good to be post PPR(copr gotten) I’m looking to land in Toronto by February (and share my landing gist) I’ve been searching for the best flight options and other things to take note of.. I’ve come across some flight tickets on SKYSCANNER and they were slightly cheaper than other sites, is it advisable to book via those websites curated by skyscanner or is there some other trusted site/app? @titiclassy please did you book via them (you mentioned getting good deals on the site)? 3 Likes |

Maverick22:if you are looking at cheap flights from Nigeria. Ethiopia airline or Egypt air is your plug. Be wary of the later though, bad reviews from passengers who used them 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Itzpearlz: https://www.nigeriadriverslicence.org/dlApplication/renew Use your license details on the link above and "pretend" you are trying to do a renewal or reissue. Your Personal information and the likes will pop up if it's on their system thereby confirming if its original or otherwise. 10 Likes 10 Shares |

Maverick22: Hi, My name is etrange. I'm landing in Toronto next month too. I opted for EgyptAir. They had the best price for my prefered flight date. I advise you get the apps for EgyptAir and Ethiopian Airlines and see which one has a better deal and then proceed to book your flight on the app. It's pretty much seamless. 7 Likes 4 Shares |

I am with you o. Stuck btw Ethiopian and Egypt. The diff is about N100,000, that's enough to help me prepare. I have heard abt bad reviews for Egypt. I really don't know. A day's journey shouldn't be spent in an eventful airline. I have used Ethiopian before and loved it, like any intl airline but last March dey make me fear. Maverick22: |

bekayy: I used Egypt air to US in 2017 and I had a good experience. The lay overs on both legs of the journey was spent in a 5 star hotel with a buffet. I even got a day's visa to tour the city and the pyramids (I paid for that ) The last March experience you talked about, Egypt air had experienced it also in the past. No fear, just pray for protection and all will be well. 3 Likes |

Echinedu1: You need to me more specific. Long term or short term. If it’s long term, how much room do you have in your TFSA and RRSP? But I think first and foremost the cash should be in a HISA. |

Enculer2: Hi, as long as the immigrant has the right papers, wether as a PR holder or via work permit, you can get a Social Insurance Number. With your SIN, you are free to drive with Uber and pursue other jobs. All the best to you. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by canadaman18: 3:02am On Jan 27, 2020 |
Echinedu1: First and foremost set aside your emergency fund(this should be enough for 3-6months if you had no other source of income).. around 10K is good for this. Put this in a High Interest Savings Account Check how much contribution you have in your TFSA and RRSP via CRA website , fill that up and then purchase index funds that appeal to you OR if you don’t want to stress yourself at all get a Roboadvisor that will invest for you . Any interest through this means is tax free or tax deferred Do the same with whatever is left except this time you’re not tax sheltered.. Once the money grows a bit start looking into real estate, buy somewhere you can renovate and start renting out 28 Likes 27 Shares |
