The most people won't admit but messi has been inconsistent this season. He has had games where he has been absolutely terrible for his own standards.

You know something is wrong when messi is struggling to complete dribbles. He has been losing possession throughout the season. I'm tired of the nonsense Am/cm/Dm nonsense he's doing. It's seriously hurting the team. He should just start playing his F9 or rw role again and stick to the position and stop dropping deep.

That's true ooh.

Messi has been very inconsistent this season.

I don't even know how he's managed to be the top scorer and assist.

I think it's time to let him go. We need to cash in on him now so that others who haven't been inconsistent can deliver the goods.

Messi is really drawing the team backward now

If they don't get it done then Barca is fucccked for the rest of the season.

Even copa del rey Barca will not smell.

Anybody who's still looking for consistency from a 33 year old man after 15 years of excellence is only dreaming.

Dreaming!

We shouldn't be looking for consistency from Messi, we should be getting others who will add small consistency and join his own.

I will never understand coaches fascination with roberto. Enrique, valverde, setien. Seriously what do they see in the guy?

He is the embodiment of mediocrity in Barcelona. He has just been consistently average throughout the season.

Umtiti isn't world class anymore i don't know why setien is starting him instead of lenglet.

Arthur and dejong were atrocious. Busquets played nonsense. Fati and griezmann were invisible.

Only vidal and stegen were good.
Personally I would pass a vote of confidence in the defence.
Pique, Umtiti and Lenglet.

My suspect is Alba.

Our problems haven't changed much over the years.
We press press press,

Lose the ball and they hit us in the counter.,
Notice how high Pique and Umtiti were playing.

Teams hardly press us and score us. Most teams absorb pressure and score us on fast breaks..

this is what will happen if Barcelona sell messi.

Over 70% of their fans will be gone, I mean disappear
No single soul will be interested in la liga again and they will loose many TV rights and viewers.

Barcelona sells will go down and they won't attack sponsors

Barcelona will be 30x as bad as we are now, messi is the only thing keeping Barcelona afloat. It's like many of you forgot when messi was injured and Barcelona was almost in relegation zone and people were saying messi is finished them he got back and started scoring and we bounced to first position.

You said messi isn't consistent, tell me one better player with more stats better than him this season?

Never doubt greatness I'm sure you are spending too much time listening to rival fans of dead clubs that want messi gone so Barcelona will be like them!

dembele is injured, Suarez is injured, continho is on loan and fati is young, what were you expecting?

I wish been worried if we don't improve in our next 5 games next season because coach needs alot of time and less pressure to implement their ideas.

It took pep a year and work to get man city working, same happened to kloop during his Liverpool debut.

If by next season after we sigh good strikers and many other players and still have no results, that's when we'll start calling for coach and players head.

In fact I expect Barcelona to go trophy less this season but we won't because Madrid is shit too

Messi has made himself known as consistency itself.

His present form is very worrying. Even if he wasn't scoring or assisting i wouldn't be so worried. But he's finding it hard to get past his man and losing possession so easily. Maybe it's the new system sha and the lack of suarez to draw out defenders.

Messi plays a little bit better when suarez is playing and he's 32 not 33.

grin die hard fans support their clubs till they die. Ac Milan, arsenal and Manchester united have fans still going to watch and support them every single weeks same with small clubs.

People that only support Barcelona during their winning days are the ones insulting the clubs and shouting the most.

that's the harsh reality.

You can't sell the greatest footballer ever and expect everything to go back to normal. The only reason we didn't suffer when ronaldinho left is because we had someone better and God blessed us with xavi and iniesta.

Until we can find someone that can fill in those shoes, we'll suffer

Only idiots will make jest of a coach who's trying to reshapen what EV destroyed for two and half years after just 3 matches.

Let them laugh while they can.

Let's just not miss the opportunity to get a good striker in the next 5 days.

Then things will be okay.

People think that playing Valencia at Mestalla is like eating Amala.

2 ways of going forward;

1. Hope Dembele stays fit when he returns from injury. (4 months without injury isn't too much to ask, Dembele.)

2. Loan a top striker if any is available (at this rate wouldn't mind Aubameyang or Cavani if available).

I don't think that'll happen.

We should just pray for Greizmann and Messi to hvae a good understand. When that happens, I pity rival teams especially Madrid.

We will resume to the 5-0s and 4-0s grin

Harsh reality? What I see are just exaggerated assumptions. Even the relegation part didn't happen.

We lost yesterday, every big team looses; Every. How you react to the lose is what makes a great team or a champion. The coach is clearly not happy with the performance and has admitted that. Let see what would happen.

Anyone hoping for an instant change, sorry oh. It doesn't work like that, at least not in this modern day soccer.

Who is they?

As far as am aware, nobody here on this thread expects consistency for a 34 year old Ronaldo.

Mess and Ronaldo weren't even 100 percent consistent at 27 years old, talkless of now.

All we want you to do is accept that Ronaldo is second to Messi.

Once you do, everybody goes home happy.

This is where stats can be misleading at times. Messi isn't above criticism. If you watch him in the past few games this year you will understand fully what I'm talking about.

His freekick taking, finishing, dribbling, pace, press-resistance all seem to have to declined. Maybe it's just me sha. 2 seasons ago messi alone would have been enough to win that match.

Even the commentator said it yesterday that messi hasn't looked the same since the mallorca game last year.
