flourishing247: I understand that too. I'm looking at the last 5 years or thereabouts actually. You can't touch Medicaid and go scot-free no more, you die well! Most of us know that and won't touch! Is it celebrities with paparazzi lifestyles that would now touch? I doubt. I know of a few, only not drawing inferences because these are gospel related celebrities, some will argue that that is why they paid, but I believe celebrities lifestyle won't allow them dumbly lose the American visa and visits opportunity having tasted it at all. Fake life will actually make them clean such mess without hesitation. 2 Likes |

makforex: The ideal thing to do is turn in your ds 160 first (fill it out completely and submit successfully. Then go schedule an appointment. You are going to need the DS 160 application number in the appointment scheduling process. Do you understand? |

Hello everyone, Now that the birth tourism has been "cancelled". I know the onus now lie on whoever wants to get a tourist visa to proof so, but do you think the issue of discount might still come into play? Should anybody be making a payment plan to pay off the discount? I intend applying to write an exam in guam, I understand one cannot enter into the US mainlands with a Visa approval to Guam. |

MarketNews EXCLUSIVE: Why US is mulling visa ban on Nigeria, by diplomatic sources - THE CABLE JANUARY 25, 2020 However, the ban on “birth tourism” is not targeted at Nigerians as it is to be applied worldwide. President Donald Trump announced at the World Economic Forum (WEF) that he was planning to extend a visa ban to more countries, with the US media naming Nigeria alongside Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Sudan and Tanzania as the new names on the list. Although Nigeria partners with the US in the war on terror, drugs and cyber crimes, a “problematic” information flow between the Nigerian immigration and the International Police Organisation (Interpol) has made it difficult for the US to track critical data, the highly placed sources informed TheCable. This is contrary to speculations that the US was planning a visa ban because of reported human rights infractions in Nigeria. “A third party company currently holds Nigeria’s passport database and this is considered a hang-up by the Americans who would be more comfortable with a better information flow between Nigeria and Interpol,” a diplomatic official told TheCable. Interpol is an international organisation that facilitates worldwide police cooperation and crime control in its 194 member countries. The agency helps coordinate cooperation among the world’s law enforcement institutions through criminal databases and communications networks — and Nigeria is found wanting in these areas. A diplomatic office told TheCable that the US is already implementing restrictions on immigrant visas issued to Nigerians because of the database issue. But non-immigrant visas — such as B1/B2 issued for business and tourist purposes — are yet to be affected. On a brighter note, according to the sources, “a software package is already being developed to allow information flow from Nigeria into the Interpol database”. The Trump administration is expected to announce the visa ban on Monday but it is still unclear if Nigeria will be included given the improvement in the information flow. The first travel ban issued by Trump affected seven Muslim-majority countries. The second was issued in March 2017 and the third in September 2017. The US supreme court in 2017 after two appeal courts had initially The US government had said the travel restriction is necessary to prevent potential acts of terrorism because countries on the list do not adequately screen travellers. At present, restrictions blocks travellers from Libya, Iran, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea and Venezuelan politicians. Chad, a West African country, was removed from the list in April 2018. |

OmoBendel24: I don't know about Nigerian celebrities, but believe me, this thing is huge especially in some Asian and Hispanic communities. There are organized cartels that facilitate the process and milk the system for all it's worth. The random Nigerian celebrity that births in the U.S. is not the problem. You are correct that they most likely pay up. It's the cartels that bring in thousands of people every year for birthing purposes and take advantage of the loop holes to not pay full price. We as Nigerians are acting alone and have no collective long term objectives. These groups have a long term agenda that the government has keyed into and is trying to stop. However, if the governments intent with immigration laws was clean, this wouldn't be happening. But the point I was trying to get across is that it's possible to give birth and not pay a dime and get away with it Scott free. I will not reveal anymore of the methods they use ... it is costing me money as a tax payer. 3 Likes |

Ess:I hope you Nigerians know that if a Democrat was President. America will still restrict Visas they give Nigerians. In 2018, 30K Nigerians over stayed their visas. We don't have 2019 numbers yet, but I feel it will be worse. It's not about Trump, its poverty. Poverty leads to multiple slippery slopes of disrespect. America is not prepared to be Nigeria's spark plug to deal withpoverty. They know our economy is bad and people will overstay visas. So they will protect themselves. If you like keep blaming Trump. If Nigeria had a GDP per capita of $10k and GDP growth of8% American companies will spend billions on marketing here. Is Jeff Bezos talking about Nigeria? That's why we can't get in 1 Like |

Your data goes straight to their system. Get back home and schedule for an interview. U will be required to enter your pin at the end of the exercise-- there on the appointment scheduling website (ceac or something). Goodluck 3 Likes |
