You can even travel with $100.

As long as you have enough credit/debit card. It is never an issue.

I didn't have any funds in my card.

Hello guys, wanted to share my POE, went with KLM. Questions lasted 3.5mins max.
POE: Hello
ME: Hi
POE: Where are you coming from
ME: Lagos/Nigeria
POE: Where would you be staying
ME: My sister's place
POE: How long
ME: 2 weeks, I liv on the 15th
POE: Do you have any food items
ME: Yes
POE: What type
ME: Egusi, Ogbono, Cray fish etc
POE: What are they
ME: We use in preparing soup( I have a feeling he thought I meant their type of soup). I Did not elaborate.
Can't remember if he asked any other questions.
I was stamped in 6months even though my visa expires in 2 months. I was stopped by another officer,( who seemed to have a better understanding of our food) on my way out with my bags who ended up asking me to put my bags in the scanner, he cut through some of my items and let me go.
I had a nice time with family and friends, however I'm back in our beloved country and would keep praying we get it right especially with this ban gist.

Welcome back. The ban is really a pity cos it didn't have to happen. Canada will soon follow suit. POE will soon get tougher. In my recent trip we were the only Nigerians in that connecting flight from Europe. Unlike previous trips.

I actually used Egypt Air from Lag - Cairo-JFK and it wasn't bad for the amount charged in relation to other airline, had about ^ hrs layover in Cairo and we were lodged in a standard hotel, so based on my experienced, they are okay for the cost charged.

Good day bro, thanks so much for the insight about applying to Texas tech.

I just got admission into Texas tech Uni (department of political science).. I got an offer as a TA to online graders. The assistantship comes with a stipend of $10,000 for the period of 9 months (which I can’t really make sense of)...

The admission and offer came few hours ago.. I wish to seek your opinion, based on experience overtime about the funding (check attached), before sending a mail to the graduate coordinator.

Thanks

Really??
You paid over 2k for ticket but took only 200 bucks overseas? What kind of foolish risk is that?

Finally back to the United States after a brief vacation overseas.

Made use of the U.S. Citizen Line at the Washington Dulles International Airport & I was only asked two questions.

Which Countries did you visit? and I answered London, Abu Dhabi & Lagos.

Then he asked did you bring any Foods with you into the United States and I answered no.

Finally he took my picture & then said welcome back to the United States.

Landed 6.30am, use the sef machine and straight to CBP.

Was on queue for over 2hrs. US Citizen, LPR, ESTA and visitors use the same line.

Cant discus what happened over there on a public forum.

CBP : Where you coming from
Me : Nigeria

Cbp : how many days u stayed
Me : 3 weeks

Cbp : is it for Vacation
Me : Travelled with my wife to visit/meet my family

Cbp: Where is she now?
Me : She came back early due to work.

Did fingerprints and stamped me in.

Ticket wasn't up to 2k then it's been years. The 600 was 2018. LOL. I had to risk it, I wasn't about to change my plans. It was just a couple of days delay of funds. Good thing everything worked out.

Since you are LPR, you won't have issues except you overstayed.

what about Prescription?

This is what you need. A prescription.

And make sure the quantity is not too much. Don't have 10 packs on you... It's supposed to be for personal use. Excess quantity will look like drug trafficking

It will be included in the report if the drugs were prescribed by the doctor. If you are the one taking please make sure its prescribed by the doctors. I think that drug is controlled. Don't put yourself into unnecessary wahala.

Oh... I see but I used my naira mastercard and it's a saving account.

That definitely is the main/default account attached to your card, the current is the added/secondary one. If you like, have 10 million naira in your CURRENT ACCOUNT without money in that your SAVINGS ACCOUNT and you need to use that card for a POS transaction even in Nigeria and you happen to be in a place where their POS machine doesn't give you the option to select account type (it invariably will only pick your default account for the transaction), that transaction will not fly as long as you don't have that figure in your SAVINGS ACCOUNT.

There's no ban and if you have your visa you have nothing to worry about.
