jl115: NO. STOP TELLING ON YOURSELF ALREADY!? You tried to normalise your peoples behaviour which I honestly think may have genetic compulsions. I don't get your point?? The Whites of South Africa are not the same as the ones in europe. To the Boer people Africa was/is home and they died fighting for it against British colonisers just like any other Black nation in Africa. At the same time you landed here your people were up to their natural tendencies in Indonesia. Your people set up the Dutch East India Company early 1600s to trade in Indonesian spices with a profit ratio of up to 35,000%. No surprise that til now the trading company still has the largest market worth ever! Known under the initials VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie), the Dutch East India Company would be worth about $7.8 trillion today. Founded in 1602, it accomplished globalist capitalism some 400 years before everyone else did.https://bigthink.com/culture-religion/5-of-the-richest-companies-in-history Bigger than Microsoft,Apple and Coke combined. Anyway, the VOC landed in 1601 and in 20 years the first massacre of locals in Banda was recorded. Coen captured at least 789 orang kaya their family members and deported them to Batavia, where some were enslaved.[1][2] He ordered his troops to sweep the island and to destroy its villages in order to force the surrender of the population.[1] The next few months the Dutch and the natives were engaged in fierce combat. Witnessing the destruction caused by the Dutch, many natives chose to die of starvation or from jumping off the cliffs rather than surrender.[2]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_conquest_of_the_Banda_Islands A series of mass killings were carried out to enforce local compliance with VOC demands to cultivate spices and accept prices however low throughout Indonesia. In nameless villages mercs, auxiliaries and Dutchmen would deport, torture, hang and behead a handful with such nonchalance records weren't kept! Local memory never forget the victims of Dutch racism. Btw,this was the origin of the Cape Malays. Larger mass killings however were carefully documented like Batavia 1740 wherein 10,000 Chinese were killed in 2 weeks. Chinezenmoord, literally "Murder of the Chinese"; Indonesian: Geger Pacinan, meaning "Chinatown Tumult" was a pogrom in which Dutch East Indies soldiers and native collaborators killed ethnic Chinese residents of the port city of Batavia (present-day Jakarta) in the Dutch East Indies. The violence in the city lasted from 9 October 1740 until 22 October, with minor skirmishes outside the walls continuing late into November that year. Historians have estimated that at least 10,000 ethnic Chinese were massacred; just 600 to 3,000 are believed to have survived.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1740_Batavia_massacre Control went from the VOC to the Dutch government early 1800s but things didn't change as people will fight against their colonizer who will respond the only way he knows-with blind force and contempt for human life. The war was very costly as 8,000 Europeans and 7,000 Javanese soldiers were killed; more than 200,000 Javanese died, as the population of Yogyakarta was reduced by half. The Dutch spent five million guilders per year on the war’s expenses.http://www.san.beck.org/20-11-Indonesia1800-1950.html Upset by the plundering of a shipwreck, the Dutch attacked Bali in 1906. The rajas, their families, and servants dressed in white and marched into battle with only lances and daggers, and the Dutch shot them down with guns. The rajas killed their wounded before marching forward again until all of them, about 800, were dead. In 1908 Bali’s most senior king, the Dewa Agung of Klungkung, objected to the Government’s new opium administration, and his family and about 500 servants were wiped out in the same way. The last mass murder was committed in 1947 when the Dutch tried to retake Indonesia after the Jap surrender and ofc the locals didn't want that ishyt! The man named Westerling became symbol of the atrocities by the Dutch army. His full name was Raymond Westerling and he is the one who got involved in a massacre of thousands of people in South Sulawesi. The Indonesian side mention that there were 40,000 people massacred in 3 months by the actions of Westerling. If we divide 40,000 people by 90 days, then the Dutch soldiers massacred 444 persons every day.https://historibersama.com/in-peace-with-dark-history-tirto/ Fyi,the Dutch ambassador apologised for the Westerling massacre in Sulawesi in 2013. STOP TRYING TO ASSOCIATE US WITH YOUR EVIL NATURE,GODDAMMIT!? Tell me honestly where we've down this, apart from Shaka Zulu and the Tutsi attack on the Hutu in 1994. Answer without your irrelevant word salad and extraneous info. 1 Like

im talking about a cultural dominance. For a man is only truely dominated when is culture and traditions are taken away from him. That is what the Europeans did to Kenya, They made them believe that whatever tradition of theirs was inferior. vaxx1: 1 Like 1 Share |

kikuyu1:So since when are the Dutch my people??......... Now you are rambling on about the atrocities of some European country that has nothing to do with me..... My people a Boer people, and thus cannot be held accountable for the atrocities of other countries simply because they look similar. My whole argument was specifically related to the conquest of South Africa........ So now that you have no argument you start shifting the goal posts including atrocities not even committed by Boer people. Also btw getting to your last point: -Genocide committed by Africans on other Africans - half a million people died during the Second Congo War..... Fought between Black Africans - 300 000 people were murdered during the reign of Idi Amin in Uganda -and 500 000 by his successor Milton Obote - the mass murder of pygmies in the Congo - 50 000 people died during conflicts in S. Sudan - Boko Harm - Al shabab Should i carry on? |

68816419: There is no bank in Nigeria which have expanded to other African countries and had a success story. Diamond Bank expanded and collapsed because of its expansion into other. Guaranty Trust Bank is troubling bitterly in Ghana Benin Republic Togo and other African countries even going to the extent of closing 50% of their branches in other African markets. Zenith bank had a bit of a success story but their total equities is now in trouble for 5 billion US dollar down to 2.4 billion US dollar. The reason why these banks cannot compete in other African countries is because there is stiff competition. |

Indeed Nigerians are Giants of Africa Nigeria’s Paga acquires Apposit, confirms Mexico and Ethiopia expansion Nigerian digital payments startup Paga has acquired Apposit, a software development company based in Ethiopia, for an undisclosed amount. That’s just part of Paga’s news. The Lagos based startup will also launch its payment products in Mexico this year and in Ethiopia imminently, CEO Tayo Oviosu told TechCrunch The moves come a little over a year after Paga raised a $10 million Series B round and Oviosu announced the company’s intent to expand globally, while speaking at Disrupt San Francisco. Paga will leverage Apposit — which is U.S. incorporated but operates in Addis Ababa — to support that expansion into East Africa and Latin America. Repat founders Behind the acquisition is a story threaded with serendipity, return, and collaboration. Both Paga and Apposit were founded by repatriate entrepreneurs. Oviosu did his MBA at Stanford University and worked at Cisco Systems before returning to Nigeria. Apposit CEO Adam Abate moved back to Ethiopia 17 years ago for an assignment in the country’s Ministry of Finance, after studying at Brown University and working in fintech in New York. “I put together a team…to build…public financial management systems for the country. And during the process…brought in my best friend Eric Chijioke…to be a technical engineer,” said Abate. The two teamed up with Simon Solomon in 2007 to co-found Apposit, with a focus on building large-scale enterprise software for Africa. A year later, Oviosu met Chijioke when he crashed at his house while visiting Ethiopia for a wedding. It just so happened Chijioke’s brother was his roommate at Stanford. That meeting began an extended conversation between the two on digital-finance innovation in Africa and eventually led to a Paga partnership with Apposit in 2010. Apposit dedicated an engineering team to build Paga’s payment platform, Eric Chijioke became Paga’s CTO (while maintaining his Apposit role) and Apposit backed Paga. “We aligned ourselves as African entrepreneurs…which then developed into a close relationship where we became…investors in Paga and strategically aligned,” said Abate. African roots, global ambitions Fast forward a decade, and the two companies have come pretty far. Apposit has grown its business into a team of 63 engineers and technicians and has racked up a list of client partnerships. The company helped digitize the Ethiopian Commodities Exchange and has contracted on IT and software solutions with banks non-profits and brick and mortar companies. For a decade, Apposit has also supported Paga’s payment product development. 2 Likes 1 Share

Nigeria’s Biggest Bank May Make Deals to Expand in East Africa Guaranty Trust Bank Plc will consider acquisitions outside its home market as Nigeria’s biggest lender by market value seeks to expand on the rest of the continent. The company, which already has offices in 10 countries outside Nigeria, is looking to East Africa for growth, Chief Executive Officer Segun Agbaje said on a call with investors from Lagos on Tuesday. Guaranty Trust Bank, or GTB, already has operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, and will also consider ways of expanding existing businesses, he said. “We’ll start to look at other things, probably outside of what you are seeing us doing now, some of it might be to look at making acquisitions outside of Nigeria,” the CEO said. “In East Africa, we have to do one of two things: We either have to bring in capital or we have to think of acquisitions.” Pre-tax contributions from units outside Nigeria rose to 16% in the six months through June from 12% a year earlier, and are expected to grow even further, Agbaje said. GTB and other banks in the West African nation, including United Bank for Africa Plc, are looking to expand abroad following a recession in 2016 that triggered a surge in non-performing loans, from which the industry is still struggling to recover. 1 Like 1 Share

68816419: This is very surprising Union bank uba bank are both in trouble in Nigeria. Ecobank in Nigeria is also in trouble . These are the five top banks in Nigeria in trouble. So they removed all their money from Nigeria to go and invest in Kenya. Also that Nigerian startup company which is investing in Ethiopia is the same thing that is how companies in Nigeria are. When a company wants to back out of the country it will say it is opening a branch in another country next think they will shut down in Nigeria. |
