For so many people, 2023 is a whole lot of months away, but for politicians, it’s just a matter of days to come. And that can be seen from the subtle but strategic moves of those eyeing the presidential seat. Though not audible, the race for who gets the key to Aso Villa after Buhari has begun in earnest.https://leaders.ng/2023-and-the-quest-for-an-igbo-president-by-oke-umurhohwo-okestalyf/ 3 Likes 1 Share

jungle don they mature... If Igbos need Presidency,: * first they must desociate themselves from the shadows of SouthSouth or else Wike, Ameachi , Akpabio , Udom and Donald Duke would take their slots, * then they must show their power and strenght in PDP and even threaten them if need be, its shamefull PDP would be rotating Chairman PDP governorship forum between North and South South * And Lastly, Igbo man should know proper utilization of Presidency powers is like a magic wand, you can get your people recruited where ever you like, you can take rail project and refinery to your hometown, you can open Sea ports and Airports to commercialise your region, in fact Presidency is winner takes all . 12 Likes |

With the clamour for a Igbo presidency how will I benefit from it if by chance my Igbo brother becomes one. An Igbo man is self centered and individualistic we can't even come together and garner support for an Igbo presidency because many of us have lost hope in Nigeria. I'm just waiting for how we survive to his British quagmire my brothers the best thing you can do now is hustle and make money. The igbos clamouring for presidency are those who stand a chance to benefit from it 7 Likes |

For the sake of unity, peace and progress, ibos should be given a chance to run the affairs of this nation at its highest levels (presidency). While I do not expect any significant change in the affairs of Nigeria, I am very confident that ibos like soludo, ngozi okonjo iweala and other prominent ibo men and woman that have legally built their wealth and well exposed can turn this country for the better. We do not need a Tinubu or a Buhari in office. Even if the next president is from the north, let it be the ousted EFCC chairman (under obasanjo tenure). Even if it’s from the west, let it be a prominent and respected son of the soil e.g (the former minister of agriculture... can’t remember his name. All I’m saying is that there are competent people from every region but it’s not tinubu, Buhari or rochas! 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Read comments and see how people hate the Igbos but are at the forefront of preventing Biafra actualization. In other words, they want Igbos to remain so they can continue their marginalization. I wonder why hatred for the Igbos is the single factor uniting Nigeria! 26 Likes 5 Shares |

I don't get all the noise. Let those who want run for their party's nomination. Does not matter where from. The party delegates are from all over the country... let them wrangle. Let the up and comers like Sowore and Durotoye also join hands and present their case to the people without abusive rhetoric. All we have to do as citizens is vote wisely. At this stage I do not care about region. I hope our brothers up north, after being let down by Buhari twice, will also realize that state of origin does not determine good leadership. 1 Like |

DMerciful: The North voted for the person who played the best politics. So since the North voted Buhari over Atiku, we can also say Buhari was elected unchallenged The writer lied that the SouthWest was unchallenged, Unless he wants to pass Ekwueme as from the Southwest 12 Likes 1 Share |

The North does not vote for BEST, they vote for religion! Obj did not even play any politics, he was broke out of prison. His own people did not vote for him in the general elections and likely even in the primaries. The North believes an Igbo president might have restructuring or secessionist agenda hence deliberately sidelining Igbos. Immediately Yorubas mentioned Amotekun, North started mentioning what Igbos must do to have presidency, something that was a taboo to mention like a year ago raumdeuter: 9 Likes 3 Shares |

As an igbo youth who wants to be patriotic to Nigeria and igbo land, your work right now is not looking for a way to badmouth the Nigerian situation, Buhari, or APC. Or talk about Biafra. Your work right now is how to convince every single Nigerian you know, both the once voting and the one who is not on reasons why there should be an igbo president. 9 Likes 2 Shares |
