A highly watered down tale of the legendary Harriet Tubman. For goodness sakes, how difficult is it for these filmmakers to adopt and make a historical accurate movie. Am truly pissed here, this is an insult to the legacy, sacrifice, bravery, courage & strength of this great woman & the American history. Had it been that i wasn't ware of her story before now, it would have been much better for me. The blood of my MB will surely judge & hunt Rotten Tomatoes & IMDb for their ridiculous & misleading ratings.

the camera cuts were a mess.

scene consistency was a joke.

editing was an epic fail.

but my god, it was a thrill ride.

lol am someone that pay close attention to what am watching and i notice things others may have missed.

if you still have the film go back to the car chase at the beginning.

if you pay close attention you'll see following scene inconsistencies..

i) side mirror gets smashed, next scene it's fully intact

ii) car gets shot, next scene no bullet holes

iii) driver is wearing a cap, next scene no cap, next scene he's back to wearing a cap.

iv) in the car drift scene, reynolds has his head poked out the window, in another camera cut of the same scene, he's not there.

v) girl at the back has blood on her face and mouth, next scene the position of the blood on her face is different and no blood on her mouth.


.....and don't get me started on the rest of the film.

all in all, the camera cuts and editing were a mess.


i still enjoyed it tho but it's not something i'll recommend to someone.

those plot holes are things you can't miss if you're observant enough.

i couldn't help but notice them and I wasn't even that attentive.

6 underground was a rubbish movie but that's fine because it never took itself seriously to begin with.

for instance magnet doesn't work in real as depicted in that film.

the film's aim was to entertain and it did that just fine.

Boy are you in for a ride. I read 'The Shining' about ten years ago, and as this movie progressed I was disconcerted at the similarities with the book, and then boom! it all came together in the bar scene at the Overlook Hotel where Dan has a conversation with the bartender. I said to myself "this is The Shining's sequel."

Doctor Sleep is very interesting, as most Stephen King adaptations are. You will enjoy every bit of it.

I rate it 8.5/10. Effing classic!!
