If bolt doesnt add a cancellation fee anytime soon, then drivers will constantly start cursing out these fake requests that come and you call they tell you where they are, you get there they dont pick up the phone again. No courtesy whatsoever. Bolt has already been able to take alot of uber customers because they dont have a cancellation fee which makes no sense.

Bolt is a crazy company and everyone is biting from it. Went to dia off today at surulere to get my app unblocked, they ask me to go lekki... Blowing empty was already making me to wear frown behind d wheel. I got dia and as I was taking a number, I heard one of the desk attendance asking a blocked driver to go do training at surulere after sending him text. I started praying in Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo may this not b fate (Cos I'm.not ready to go thro d stress and traffic again). Las las bolt have a bit of respect em dem, the guy did not even ask me anything, just took my number, said ha! 2018 driver grin please go back online. I shake head for myself grin

When we had taxify and lite, riders went for lite because they had a choice. They were asked to pay more for the same comfort in the same car (Corolla/camry 03 and 05 don't differ much). If there was no lite option believe me there will be requests as usual on taxify. Before the era of ehailing, yellow cabs were charging exorbitantly and they were cashing out daily.

I get u boss, but wot we r talking here is adjust in price, dia is no way it won't affect demand, bolt is not a price inelastic demand without alternative. Let me give u an example of how this moment touches everyone... I take apply every day, I always get fresh apply from a particular place, but this January the aboki has been selling "Carry over" apply, which is unlike em. Now imagine if d price of apply goes up, while I'm already shifting to orange, what do you expect me to do? My point here is bolt are not being mean, they r going thro "deliberation after deliberation" to meet everyone need, while not joking with dia profits.

But one thing I c about this taxify policy on zero charges on cancellation is that, ita their strong strategy to grab d market and thats d reason they have lots of riders they understand the market very well. So i dont see them scrabbing it not now not in the nearest future. But they only thing is they should look for a balance for drivers as well because it doeant make any sense after driving for a long distance inly for rider to cancel on u. Its totally wrong

What you fancy about them is also affecting you.

You drive to pickup and the rider doesn't pick his call, who gets affected?

You take trips with network error, who gets affected?

Riders rate you anyhow and their system also drops your rating due to harsh conditions, who gets affected?

Riders end up not paying you affect a trip, who gets affected?

In the long run, they favour the rider more which is not right.
In summary, drivers are just being used to achieve their business goals while they sit in their office telling you to let's move Lagos. Why don't they enter the streets with us and lets move it together.

This is also very funny to me as the bolt company is just a dubious one.
Riders claim that bolt is cheaper ( always due to their app errors), drivers claim it pays them more, meaning the fare is higher when compared to others.
The riders paying the money feel that it's cheaper using bolt are gained at drivers' expense due to app errors and their zero cancellation charge etc.

The drivers are at the Expendables while BOLT (thief, dubious, cunning etc) are at the winning end.

Got to shrine started wasting my time with nonsense stories about how he forgot his modem at his mums place, he called his mum on my phone big mistake, he also called the earlier driver on my phone about his modem and too bad for him he left it in the drivers car, another mistake. Oya pay me na trip was 700 bolt gave a 200 discount, give me 5h make I de go na he say he wants to do a transfer of 1k so I will give him 5h so he can have change on him (no big deal, done it w couple times for some riders) oya do it na, baba showed me alert they deducted 1010 naira. Mind you all this happened sharply ooo. I left and got home n didnt see 1k alert. I've always hated that shrine. Na useless, broke scammers dey mostly use uber go there. I was surprised he didnt run. Some will arrive there, and while you're in the little traffic, they open the door and run

Well.. I prefer doing just 3 trips in a day and make around 10k to doing 10 trips to make roughly the same amount.
My point. Plenty riders + low fare doesn't significantly increase your PROFIT, it only increases your stress level and car maintenance costs. My opinion
So true. The kind migraine wey dey worry me dis days no be small thing, especially in heavy traffic. I hadly drive beyond 8hours

It is very simple. Accept, dont reject it.
All u need to do is to politely warn them about the trafic situation before starting d trip.
You cant afford to spend the whole day in d trafic. As a result, you can suggest where u feel it convenient for u and the rider. I mean where he can complete the trip with bike, then u make a u-turn. We usually end the trip at ijora then complete the trip with bike if there is trafic.
I dont reject apapa trip

Rider: a woman's voice, of a where r u
Me: I'm in front of the Catholic church
Rider: I dont know where that is o but I'm standing beside uba
Me: ok, where r I going pls?
Rider: lekki abi, she was trying to mention the exact place.
Me: ok, im coming.

B4 I cud get to omole gate she already cancelled. Called the fufu she didnt pick.

Guy man just weak.

Drove down to uba I just off my bolt app and turned on uber and immediately a req entered going to phase II. Trip ended of 0naira...guyman just weak today... e b like na o fe work I dey do today ooh

It's obvious they are not going to do anything about it, but that means their cancellation rate on both sides rider and driver will be very high. Which is probably why alot has been happening lately with ratings dropping today and coming up tommorow.

Called rider to confirm his location then his destination.

Me: Greetings, this is Bolt.

Rider: okay. Can you locate us?

Me: Us?

R: eemm yes.

Me: how many are you please?

R: 4.

Me: (already laughing deeply inside) how many men & women?

R: just 4 guys.

Me: okay. Please where are we going to?

R: come first. You've not gotten to where we are and you're already asking for destination.

Me: I'm sorry about that bro, but please, can you tell me?

R: Sango.

Me: (shocked) which of the Sango?

R: Ota.

Me: hahahahhahhahahahahahahaahahhahahahahaahhaahahahahahahahah

R: you dey craze.

Me: I'm aware of that bro. Take care.

Lol. That sango road is very very bad. Nah giant potholes full there. Infact they are big ditches, I don't if they have fixed that road by now.

Please make this complaint known on their app in the playstore. Just drop your review there. If many drivers can make it an issue, prolly they will work on it. I have done mine.
