No. But I can always make up for that by getting myself involved in it prior to the visa interview.

Oh! that will be fine.

Good day guys! Please guys what is Writing Sample? I am in the process of my application and part of the requirements says I should upload Statement of Interest and Writing Sample. Please, I don't understand what writing sample is.

And also, Statement of interest is same thing as Statement of Purpose right?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by CptCharlesVane: 5:07pm On Jan 28, 2020
Stop posting people’s names online without their permission. The email was sent to you privately. How would you like to see the emails that you sent on an online search with people having opinions about it?
This should be common sense.

Does your intended program require that you should secure a supervisor prior to applying? I am asking because from the Professor's reply, she did not seem to be taking responsibility or making a commitment. I don't know the content of your initial email. However, try sending one where you agree with her sentiments regarding the Twitter issue. Also, tell her 'point blank' that you want her to accept you into her lab and ask if there's any funding. You can even ask for the funding package. Additionally, try to send your application in asap and make sure she is included in your SOP

statement of interest is different from writing sample.
Statement of interest is where you talk about yourself, your motivation for graduate studies, your long term goals and objectives. in short, you will have to sell yourself (send an email to your GC and ask for what should be the contents of your statement of interest).
writing sample on the hand means your previous research work or an articles you write for publication.

No, my intended program do not require applicants to secure a supervisor.

She highly recommends that you to apply. That’s a good sign. Trust me, they ignore the majority of the emails they receive about group/research interest.

A simple ‘Thank you for getting back to me. I would/have put forward my application (as soon as possible)’ would do.

I usually would not respond unless I have a follow up question or until I have applied. Either way, be courteous in correspondence.

Going by her last statement, your chances are "not great, but not very terrible." grin cheesy one twisted person made that quote in the series called "Chernobyl"...I recommend this series by d way.

Except if your documents are already completed, your application could easily drag into 2 weeks from now because of your LOR. N u know ur files needs to be available during that first round of review for that RA.

I will say, don't take blind decisions. Stay close to the grad cord n admin secretary to know how the reviews are going. Try to mention or infer to your relationship with the Prof who showed interest when interacting with grad cord or secretary.

Good luck.

If you're in Texas and a Nigerian, highly unlikely. Unless you file your taxes incorrectly.

I schooled in Texas and used accounting firms in filing my taxes. I got good amount each of the three years I filed taxes. My friends used the same accounting firm in their second and third years as well as Turbo tax did not get as much as using those firms. Back in the days, you get $1k for tuition credit but I don't know about now.

Well I hope i get a PhD soon... although I have done a skype interview with Clemson University here is my profile

Bsc: 4.36/5.00
Msc: 14/20 France grading
GRE: 283 (i explained this before now i prepare for just 5days)

Although the PhD i applied for is a Topic proposed PhD by the professor i will be working with, I did my skype interview last week friday and he promise to give a good report about me to the selection committee. I just hope my GRE wont be a problem.. as anyone applied to clemson university before.

So far he is okay with you, there isn't much to fear. Your supervisor matters most in all things.

11 Reasons why you should use Telegram instead of Whatsapp.

Whatsapp is the most engaged top social messaging application owned by the giant Facebook corporation. It was one of the biggest gulps of acquisition. It is a known fact that most of the smartphone users are the users of Whatsapp messenger. If there is a competent for Whatsapp, in all probability it might be the Telegram. But the freaks, geeks cult prefer Telegram than Whatsapp. Why? Here are the comparison points.

History

WhatsApp was incorporated in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, both former employees of Yahoo!. After Koum and Acton left Yahoo! in September 2007, the duo traveled to South America as a break from work. At one point they applied for jobs at Facebook but were rejected.

The telegram was launched in 2013 by brothers Nikolai and Pavel Durov, who previously founded the Russian social network VK, but had to leave the company after it was taken over by Mail.ru Group.

How is Telegram better than Whatsapp

Unlimited server storage

Telegram provides unlimited storage. Means all your text messages, images media files & documents will be saved on their cloud. You can log out and log in any number of times from any number of devices simultaneously without losing any data, you don’t need to worry about backup & restore. You can view the active sessions and see on which devices are you logged in now. Thereby you can download any file any time anywhere.

2. Media compression

Users can choose whether to compress the image and video or send the uncompressed version.

3. Group member number capacity

A normal group capacity in Telegram is 200. But when this is reached the Group transforms to a Super Group with a capacity of 5000. (A Super Group has some more features than a Normal Group)

4. Username feature

You can communicate with anyone on telegram even if you don't have the contact number of others. This ensures the privacy of the user’s contact number.

The accounting firm that filed your taxes on your behalf actually broke the law, because they must have claimed you're a resident alien for tax purpose. If you're an international student, you can't claim residence when filing taxes unless you've been in the united states for more than five years. You also cannot use turbo tax because it automatically files your taxes under resident alien status. My dear friend, you're sitting on a time bomb because you actually committed tax fraud.
