Yes Pistotita is a proof of a mentally unstable person that became mad from too much reading. Follow his posts and you'll see his mental dysfunctionality in his comments

you maybe right sir...it maybe be something spiritual...but what got me confused is that he lost his sanity while reading..

Spiritual attacks often exploit people's most dominant habits. Drinking, smoking, insulting, womanising, reading, etc.

OK,generally what causes madness....I find it hard to believe your theory that some people have madness in their gene....if its in their gene they would have pass it to their offsprings...but most of this mad people give birth to normal children....@coldie

Your genes can contribute to it in some cases

The offspring are also more susceptible because of their parents

Many minor genetic abnormalities can accumulate and team up with stress/ill health to trigger an explosive deterioration in mental health...

I know of a girl who last bleeding from the nose in the library and she wasn't even aware I was the one that called a her attention. Doctors said it was as a result of brain stress .

In as much as he slept sufficiently *he never* stressed himself to the limit.

He simply did not have the brain power for the stuff that he put in his brain and/or lacked the right family and peer support.

He stressed himself to the limit; he should have gotten a hobby outside of the reading.

The "family support" you speak of would have taken him out for a stroll once in a while to keep him grounded

It's a mystery of extremism. It's not just book but anything taking too serious would have effect on one's brain. Physically or spiritually.

People who bomb churches and mosques today suffer similar thing. They call them religious fanatists.

Those who take fashion too serious are walking almost naked on the street.

Have you ever been closed to a very hard working person(workaholic)?
Don't take anything too serious

Be moderate in all your dealings.

Don't be scared bro, the belief that extensive reading can lead to madness is fallacious. I read for hours everyday too just for fun, with no fear of going psychotic sef.

Hello Nairalanders

This issue has been bothering me for a while now......I had this friend who during our school days was so brilliant,in fact this friend of mine wrote his common entrance at primary 4....at jss1 he wrote his junior WAEC....

Back them we nickname him The "guru"....There was no time I visited him at home, that I wouldn't see him reading, this guy can read from morning till night.....though I was irritated with his attitude but I kept on admiring him because there is nothing in this world that this guy don't know....there is no words in the dictionary that is new to him... he was respected among our peers.....

Suddenly, he was no longer communicating with us with plain English, any small question will always be meant with grammar.. In fact this guy will go to the market to buy something and will begin to communicate with the market people with grammar...they we just be looking at him like a madman...

Then, one fateful day according to his mother,he ran out with a dictionary screaming "loquacious"all effort to calm him was in vain
the guy is in the asylum right now.....

This episode has left me confuse.....expert in the house can you help me out.....

There is a saying that; "Neurous that fire together, wires together."

I'm coming let me put on the Gen, I will come and continue.

I'm back!

The brain is a most sophisticated and powerful computer so to speak. For the brain to function effectively, it needs to be exercised and be given its food.

When you do things repeatedly, the brain gets used to it and when those specific neurons keeps firing over time, it sort of burns out when that happens, this is when you say you are BORED and the brain starts to feel sleepy to knock you out so it rest to rivatalize that bored spot. When you don't, you stressing the brain even more hence, it might malfunction(psychosis).

Now what is the brain food?

Orgasms, Yes, you read that right. Have sex or mas turbate. This is the food the brain needs to function. Why?

Achieving orgasm is the only brain activity that stimulates all part of the brain and when you done, All part of the brain relaxes as well. So, Orgasm is what to the brain what food is, to the stomach.

So if you use your brain excessively, then try to have sex or ma sturbate to reach orgasm.

I wish people can pay attention

My brother that your brother have refused to eat his food even when their family members are calling on him to come and eat that his food is growing cold on the dinning table. he forgets to eat his food simple. with that the worms in his brain starts scratching his brain. when there is no oil inside the generator what happens . obviously it gets knocked.

Anything over do can worry the brain...

Trust me..alcohol, weeds,sex,anxiety..

There is a water in the brain..once electron and neutrons jam inside..water go shake..DAT na why if dem been give you blow for head?and the water shake?you must calm down...

Ask bash Ali or Mohammed Ali.what am I saying..

Why do you drink and vision gets blurred?reading is putting too much information and the is a CPU in this small head that can store as much as 100 terabyte of information, porn, names of olonsho and street address, partition matters, once the CPU is hot and no FAn to calm it down like Goldberg(faulty fan)cooling system like sex?,

Crash mode activated and only formatting can reset it after you pieces the whole system..in Nigeria..

We have been formatted plenty times. Only God grace..na spare parts you see walking up and down.

Stressing the brain too much is more hazardous than physical stress. It may cause a disease of the brain called shizopherenia which will make the victim to be experiencing hallucinations for a long period of time and if care is not taken it may lead to insanity. I've experienced it before so I know what I am saying. Read but don't read too much.

In my days in Futa people ran mad during exams. We attributed it to excessive reading. But alas research made us know that they had other problems.

Nah futa you go FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TENSION AND ANXIETY.. people still dey craze for there ooo, my guy wey go do master's there sef wan craze grin grin

Back to you OP- Those over sabi people wey dey always read like mad eehn, check Dem out well there's one mental spirit worrying dem. They are always battling one spirit deep within them and the spirit is "you don't want me to read; which means you don't want me to succeed in life; I will read and read and read to finish you" ...Now that's where the problem lies. They'll keep pressing hard even in the most uncomfortable condition just for them to study, even if they won't sleep in one month they **dgaf. Majority of them live within themselves, they don't pull that string of social life and all which inevitably creates a phobia or some shii stuffs. The family also could be a stakeholder in the child's craze; likes of homes zeroing their wards from TV or Mobile phone (if dey catch dem, flogging go be 2sure) and after that beating, they'll lock them up in their room(s) to go and read. Imagine what such a child is been subjected to and the side effect on the kids mental state and mind. I've seen a kid who said he was reading hard and going to school just to grow up and buy his own phone and tv to avoid been beaten everytime, all cos the parents won't ever allow him access to none.
Several factors join body for the matter, but main thing nah the psychological evaluation of the whole matter.

Reading cannot make you mad. Although I fit dey quote formulas and theorems for road with obvious gestures ,it doesn't mean I'm mental.

By the way do you know that every human has at least a minute of madness everyday?
Smoke igbo join e go help you increase am to one hour. Smoke Colorado join e go increase to one day

Add cocaine join upgrade to one month.
