Nothing gives me immense joy like the ban of worthless Keke, Gokada, Opay and all hopeless Okadas on Lagos roads. I was around Ogba today and I saw task force packing hundreds of keke. I was so happy.

This means with the ban of Gokada, Opay and other hopeless ehailers, more money for Uber and Bolt drivers. This also implies more free and sane roads all over Lagos so that you will complete more trips on time.

It is my warmest prayers to God to make the governor to start burning there keke and Okada. I careless. Zero Pity at all.

When Keke, Gokada, Opay and hopeless wheel barrow pushers where busy causing traffic, hitting other road users with reckless abandon, scratching cars with no pity, taking one ways, creating multiple lanes that cause untold traffic, disobeying every traffic law... Did they pity anybody? They didnt know others were seeking bread for there family too like them abi?

Now as they have been banned with full effect from February 1st, I pray the governor be ruthless and savage on them. No pity at all.

If they want, let hunger kill them and there family... I careless. Infact, let them pack out of lagos because they are hopelessly useless and wicked. They were a pain in the neck of other road users without recourse to how they felt. If am the governor, once they seize your keke or okada... Burning straight.

More Trips for Uber Bolt drivers, More money for them and there family. Death to all reckless Danfo, Keke, Okada, Opay, Gokada etc that have ever endangered the live of any person in Lagos either by driving one way or stopping suddenly in the middle of the road to pick a rider for a hopeless 50 Naira.

God bless disciplined drivers and God bless Sanwo Olu too for filling all potholes in Lagos major roads.

Thunder fire every reckeless Danfo, Okada and Keke in Lagos. May hunger and disease kill all of them. Amen.

USELESS THINGS.

Only in this forum we have nothing less than a 100 drivers even if we r 50 I've said these b4 we can start from somewhere,
if 50 of us can come together I dont mean gathering at a particular venue ooh, we r already here,
we contribute little token
print banners with some captions of areas we need change
Pick a particular day for a peaceful protest
Go to the police zonal headquarters to get an approval
Tie those banners on our cars
Then we all drive from our various location to a particular point then start driving to their head office in VI
As we go any driver we see along the road we tell them to join us.
Some will definitely join and our Nos will increase.
We'll tell Uche this is just level 1 and give him an ultimatum because d next time we come he won't like what we'll do.

Tell me if this protest is done just once you think taxify

But we all just want to sit at the comfort of our home and expect a change, complaining on their app won't change anything. And change will never come without a drastic measures taken
I come here to read what's going on and the helplessness astounds me! You all can't organise and make a difference where your incomes are concerned?

I guess the idea of Unions has not extended this far. But it should, people. There is power in your numbers!

This is exactly why Nigeria might not work. Granted that the Lastma officer shouldn't have attempted to forcefully gain entry into your vehicle, you equally failed to acknowledge that you deserve a fine or at least a speeding ticket for violating a traffic law.

Obeying the rule of law is what makes the society sane.

God bless our hustle.

I get your points........but
If only the fines reflect the gravity of the offence.
These fines were just designed as source of income for govt and not to necessarily enforce traffic orderliness. That's you will enter a one-way road without any road sign indicating one way. How Will a stranger know this is a one way road without sign?

How much was monthly minimum wage last year? Imagine someone being charged 11k for traffic offence.

These fines are just simply an extortion from govt. No citizen will happily submit himself to pay it if he has the option to run.

Hello elders, please assist me with this information

1) Is 30k weekly rentals really achievable by drivers?

2) Does Uber/Taxify accept hatchback cars?

3) On rentals, who bear the cost of repairs for the car. Driver or car owner?

4) Abeg, any idea on Chevrolet Cruze ltz 2011 model. Or generally, all Chevrolet cars.

Thank you.

For me, I'm seeing the ban on okada and marwa as insensitive and also another fact that Nigeria isnt conducive for business.

Insensitive in that some of these roads need services of okada as some of them are bad. Besides, I don't see how this will curb traffic because ban on these people means there will probably be more danfos pumped into the public and more cars.

Inconducive for business in the sense that govt can literally wake up one day and kill a booming businees.
Opay just recently in last year paid LASG govt and also heavily settled NURTW just to be able to operate, now same govt just rescinded its earlier decision and took a decision that will kill the business it once collected money from them and have permission to operate. What happens to this business and these Oride guys now?

If govt could do this and probably doesn't affect us today, it can also take any decision tommorrow that will hurt us all.

We can agree or disagree about this ban, we have diverse views to same issue but I will not rejoice or justify the govt just because the ban means more money for uber drivers.

If the govt hurts uber tommorrow also with another policy, are we then going to agree govt has taken a bad decision and criticize it for the same policy we once praised it for?

May God not put our food and survival at the mercy of our enemies and even govt.

@angryigboman you are too selfish and you think so low, how can a grown up man wish his fellow human beings to die hunger? Do you know if the same governor have same plan on uber platforms too? Pls let's reason properly before we put a write up here it's very important.

As a Godly human who have feelings you should know these ppl are part of us in this country hustling together to make an end meat some of them are graduates and more. but due to situations of the country they had no choice. Before a government that has sense try such a thing there should be a better arrangement to support them just to normalize crime rates but who cares? Thousands of ppl doing this job will be jobless soon. that's why we can never grow as an Africa we will continue to kill ourselves either one way or another...

The comical part of the whole issue is that people think the ban will favor uber drivers.... I ask, HOW?

Keke does #50 to #100 trips. I wonder how the ban will make someone start paying #500 for their fares. Funnily enough, the places these Keke guys pick their passengers are NO-GO-AREAS for uber drivers. People use Keke from Marina to Obalende(#50). Maybe an uber driver will now go and park in front of UAC building to carry a #500 trip

Abi is it bike? People who use Opay and Gokada can afford uber. They use it mostly to save time. If you ban it, the person WILL MOST LIKELY NOT consider uber because he needs to be on time: Something Lagos traffic cannot afford uber or bolt

Abi is it danfo we want to talk about?

I'll be here to see when they will bring one stupid law against Uber cars. I hope it will be fair to also type "God bless Sanwoolu"

After all, Itesiwaju ipinle Eko lo jewa logun

Even though these Keke/Okada guys behave unruly outright ban is not the solution, especially on some roads we can't go. It doesn't translate to more money for us.

No point being excited about this I hope tomorrow the government will not say Uber/Taxify/Opay have added to traffic congestion in the City and therefore not inline with their Smart/Mega city plan. we just need to be on the lookout, as they say "the title that got to the people of Ede(Osun), will still reach the people of Iwo(still in Osun) too.

Na LASG themselves cos all these madness, no be them dey issue license/permits for these keke? If na government wey get plan for dia so called mega city they would have calculated the amount of keke that each LG needs that won't affect other road users.

Tbh those keke guys are the most useless being I've ever come across, it as if they set out daily to frustrate other road users. Any small traffic, they don sneak thru any available space available. They just don't give a fučkk about anyone. I can't wait to see how that Feb 1st wan be for Ikeja LG.

E don tey wey i don understand say the best thing na to give them right of way either on the left or right.
