What @Volina failed to point out is that Kenya is d first sub-saharan country to seperate Ischiopagus (twins conjoined at d lower part of d body, sharing same spine,digestive system, genetalia and anus). That seperation took almost a day cos they had to seperate and reconstruct critical organs.

What Ghanaian doctors seperated in 1999 is Omphalopagus but only d liver was actually conjoined. The operation is d easiest of all cos all d doctors did was to seperate the stomach, cut the liver into two and stich them back together since livers regenerate.
